Issue 1 Downtime

Anita waits by the bus stop that will take her and everyone who's coming to the Bankside district. She's wearing a halter top, very short skirt, and calf-height leather industrial boots. Her lips, nails, and eyelids are done up in bright scarlet, her clothes are black. She's wearing gold earings, rings, and bracelets, and her hair is tied back with a red ribbon.

While she waits for people to show up, she fiddles with her cell phone, texting.

Clad in a black leather skirt and corset, with several spiked bracelets and a spiked collar on, Victoria joined Anita at the bus stop. She appeared to be wearing black lipstick and the usual dark makeup, but in truth, it was just her changing her body's color in those parts with her power.

Anita grins. "Hey Vicki! I'm psyched about tonight."

Zoe heads up to join her roomies at the bus stop. She fits the general black theme, though with a panache of her own. Black leather hotpants are belted in place, and a series of straps criss-cross down her otherwise bare legs, ending over heavily buckled boots. Her top is a halter attached to a buckled collar around her neck, though no spikes or studs adorn hers. A pair of striped red-and-black arm warmers loop over her thumbs and are buckled just above the elbow. As she steps up to the bus stop, she snaps her thigh-length coat shut so as to avoid too many creeps harassing her.

"Hey roomies! Awesome idea, Anita, should be fun tonight."

Nina walked up to bus stop, dressed in a very tight pair of jeans and a shirt that showed off her her cleavage pretty well as well as a cute looking pair of heels and a light jacket. Fairly standard club wear.

She smiled and waved as she approached the others.

"What kind of club are we going to?" Victoria asked curiously.

She grins and waves enthusiastically to Nina, "Hey! Nina, right? Glad you could make it."

"Hi, Zoe," Nina says, smiling at the girl, "Glad to see you again too."

Madrox stepped up next to the girls in a hat, a diamond-patterned shirt, and black slacks.

"Good evening ladies."

"Heya! I'm Zoe, I don't think we've met." And she offers a hand to Madrox.

Madrox shook her hand. "Madrox. Good to meet you Zoe."

"Hey Madrox," Nina says, waving at the boy.

"Seems just like a dance club, it's called Glow, so they have lots a lights, I don't know fer sure, but the ad looked cool."

"You're here too huh? Small world," he smiled back to Nina.

Ryan's club clothing was limited by what he could fit over his wings, unfortunately. So he was limited to a tight black t-shirt that fit him like a second skin and a pair of black leather pants. He glowed faintly as he approached the group. "Oh, good, I'm not late."

Rick showed up next, simply wearing a nice light grey shirt, charcoal slacks, and black shoes. His hair was a bit shinier than usual and purposefully tousled, with some of his bangs hanging around his grey eyes (matches the outfight, right?).

"Evening, everyone."

Rachel walked up to the group, she was dressed in a black leather crop top, and a red leather mini skirt, and her knee high leather boots. Completing her outfit was a pair of gold earrings, dark red lipstick, gold flecked black eyeshadow and, concealing most of her outfit from view, a long black leather coat. Even in September, London was cold to a girl raised in the desert.

Ryan eyed Rachel appraisingly as they waited. "Nice," he commented, giving her a smile.

"Really? It seems pretty big to me."

"Hey Rachel, Ryan," Nina calls out, waving enthusiastically at the two.

"Yeah, bus is comin' soon, an' I'm sure folks can find it if they miss this one. Do we need a buddy system or is everyone gonna be okay?"

"Hey, Nina," Ryan said, waving back. "Oh, and Nita? Good call. This place any good, or have you never been there either?"

"Never been ta it before. But fortune favors the brave, right?"

"I'm not gonna get hammered on my first time out. Ooh, cell numbers though." She hauls out a sleek little unit and makes sure she has contact info for the rest of the gathering.

"Wow. Lots of folks.." Marcus said as he reached the bus stop. He stopped beside Rick and looked around at the other students. Marcus was wearing a short sleeved muscle shirt that was made of cotton that did little but cling to his torso. It was black and had a nice light blue pattern on it. Along with some black slacks and shoes.

"I didn't know this many people were gonna show up." He said to Rick.

Ryan smirked at Zoe. "Yes, you can have my phone number," he teased, handing her his phone, which was currently displaying the number.

"Lucky you Captain Can't-Be-Hammered is here," Madrox said heroically, providing his number also.

Rick tells Zoe his number. "And my name's Rick."

Rick smiled at Marcus as he walked up. "Everyone likes a party."

Anita joins in on the phone-networking.

"Cool, bus is almost here. It's gonna be comin' round that corner in about two minutes."

Nina shares her number with anyone who wants it, taking the time to introduce herself to the people she hasn't met yet.

Victoria shared her number, too, sizing up the boys that had just arrived while Zoe copied it down.

He decided to go along number exchanging as well since most of them would be working togetehr now. That reminded him. He spotted Nina and smiled. "Hey! Congrats on getting into the X-teams. Looks like we'll be partners."

Sara rounds the corner and let's out a little 'phew' as she spots the group of people still waiting at the bus-stop. Walking up to the group she smiles and gives a wave to no one in paticular. She's wearing a loose white blouse and black dress-pants, her shoes are rather tame as well with broad, 2-inch heels.

"Evening! Looks like I managed to make it in time despite my indecisiveness."

Rick had a few numbers of those present, but he went ahead and enetered in the ones he didn't. And something about Victoria struck him as being a little bit...familiar.

"Hey, I'm Rick. Here's my number if you need it," he said to her.

"And good evening, Sara."

((If you come to the thread late, feel free to just assume that your character was at the bus stop on time. Or, you can easily arrive and find the others. Just pick whatever option seems good and gets you into the action right away))

The bus rolls into view, right as Anita predicted. It stops, and she gets on with the rest.

A few minutes later, it rumbles off to nearby Bankside. Anita hops off at the appropriate stop. Just down the street is a huge neon sign that says Glow. The sign is further back-lit by a bank of lights.

"This is it." Anita leads the way in. The cover charge isn't bad, and the more provocatively dressed girls don't pay it at all.

The inside of the club is a split into two sides, tables and a slightly more quiet area in the front, a dance pit in the back. There's a DJ on the stage and the music pounds through your body.

In the center of the two areas is a raised bar area, circular structure that's lit on ever conceiveable surface by neon lights. The stage is similarly decorated, and that's about all the light in here, except for a few lights in the seating area to keep it from being too dark.

Victoria gave the admission guy, who let her in without charging her, a sarcastically sweet smile that seemed to say 'touch me and I'll break your finger. Have a nice day!' She walked into the club, taking it all in.

"Very... colorful."

"Looks great!" Anita tucks her slim phone into a little pouch on an armband, and closes her eyes for a moment. "Woah... yeah. That's awesome." With a giddy grin on her face, she head straight for the dance floor.

Nina stops to check her coat, before walking over to the main are to save a table.

Ryan, similarly, headed straight for the dancing. "Hope you weren't planning on dancing alone," he teased Anita as he joined her.

Anita's answer is nonverbal, she grabs Ryan's shirt and unless he jerks away, pulls him closer and starts dancing super close with her eyes closed. Unsurprisingly, her movements remain graceful and fluid, perhaps even getting moreso when she relies on her mutation instead of her eyes.

Sara pays the bouncer the admission, not quite sure if she should be annoyed by it for not being pretty enough or glad about it for not being considered slutty enough to get in for free.

After a quick glance through the club she breaks off from the people heading off to dance and takes a few steps towards the tables, hoping she won't be the only one who doesn't immidiately pool onto the dance-floor.
