"Well, then you can make 98.2 turn into 100% now can't you?" Sean smiled.

Altamira would find herself in a forest strange blue colored fog gradually clearing from the world around her as her contact with Sean solidified.

Altamira, decked out in a white version of her Phoenix costume, pushed her hands to either side, attempting to clear the fog.

The mist cleared leaving her in a forest, small wisps of light were moving around the trees seemingly disinterested in Altamira. A single path lead deeper into the forest. A whisper of a breeze moved through the forest, the sound it made in a language Altamira knew at least in passing. The forest was otherwise serene.

The path lead Altamira deeper into the forest until the trees seemed to become quite massive and on the fringes of a lake on one both sides. The path was the only civilized portion of the area, and it split into multiple different paths, one to the left headed uphill towards where the forest began to clear, one to the right headed deeper into the what looked like the darkest part of the forest, the third went straight ahead and there was nothing particularly interesting about it.

The path was still well cared for, but the forest around it was becoming more and more overgrown. The wisps changed became scarcer, but Mira was approaching a line of blue lights and the path changed from dirt to stone, the temperature began to drop the further along the path she went though that most likely had something to do with the mist.

Altamira would find a wrought iron fence line with blue torches, the fence itself was overgrown with brambles. The gate was clear but strangely enough had no lock.

It swung open easily. The gate wasn't made to keep Altamira out. If she looked closely she'd see the symbols carved into it and the material it was made of...what looked like cold iron. It was what was beyond that was stranger the path was lined closely by brambles. Too close for comfort for most, they wouldn't stop her but they'd be...inconvenient to pass through.

For the best. The wind grew briefly unsettling the brambles. As Altamira walked through them she saw painful memories from Sean's past. The most recent ones at the front. She could feel the blow as Sean blocked the magic Doom had had reflected back at him. Dozens of moments flew by between steps. Few coming into real focus.

Another step years had flown by and Sean broke his arm and leg rock climbing.

Another step and she saw a early teen Sean asking a girl out for the first time and being rejected.

Then Sean getting the crap beat out of him by a gang of older kids in elementary school for being a dirty mutant.

The images continued to flash by until she was watching memories from Sean's early childhood.

Back further, and further, then Altamira was in a clearing made of one giant block of marble. In the center of the clearing was a raised podium. The marble block had a series of circles and symbols carved into it surrounding the podium.

The carvings didn't feel like something Sean put there. The fence, the marble, the change in the path it all felt queer. The only thing of Sean's were the brambles, which surrounded this...thing.

There was a low hum and the markings crackled arcs of energy shooting from the symbols, and circle itself turning bright red. A shield of magic formed in each of the circles surrounding the podium at their center.

The first shield was solid like concrete. If Mira pushed it would begin to flex, small stress fractures forming on it. Then Altamira would see the images leak through through the cracks.

She saw a woman's face contorted in pain, could feel the touch of metal. A flashing light beneath the open moon. Chanting, pain, fear, and then the sound of ribs snapping. Then the sudden rush of intoxicating power.

The shield then forced her back out, the cracks filling in. Whatever was in there somebody with quite a bit of magical power had sealed it in.
