Jez laughed softly, putting some money on the counter of the bar to settle her tab.

"I know, I sound corny. But where I come from we're taught that our uniqueness, the thing that makes us shunned by other humans, makes us special and is to be celebrated. Seeing a place like this lets me know that these girls feel safe and proud of their bodies. That and there are some very open-minded people coming in as patrons." She said, referring to the sizable non-mutant clientele.

Jez tapped her phone lightly.

"Wow, there are over a thousand Indian restaurants in London." She said softly, narrowing the scope to the area around them and eliminating ones that were already closed.

"Looks like we're in luck. 3 Spice is open late tonight, have you ever been?"

"Me either. I usually just eat at the embassy or brown bag it." Jez said. "But this place has some pretty good reviews and it's within walking distance, so I think it should be alright. It's not terribly fancy but I should be able to spend some money on you."

The pair turned a corner, coming across the front facade of a modest late-night Indian restaurant. A man exited through the door and passed them while carrying a couple of styrofoam take away containers.

Jez started laughing, having trouble holding the door open for Ayami.

"I eat the same as everyone else, I guess. Maybe a little more. If I'm able to rejoin with my copies then there isn't much matter that needs to be replaced, it's mostly just tiring. Though we can eat separately, that does help me keep them active for longer and alleviates the strain. But mostly it's for appearances sake, we don't need to eat as much individually that way. If each of us ate a full meal and then rejoined I'd be as big as a house!"

Jez tilted her head slightly. "Why do you ask? Did you want some more company tonight?"

The interior of the restaurant was actually rather tasteful, the white walls and white tablecloths offset by the sleek modern furnishings and vibrant hardwood flooring. The dining area was sparsely populated, a few night owls, a couple on a very long date and a group of guys stopping in after a night at a bar were the only other patrons.

A smartly-dressed Asian woman looked over at the pair as she was working on wrapping some cutlery in napkins for the next day's lunch. "Please seat yourselves, I'll be with you shortly."

The waitress returned in her smart black outfit, placing a pair of menus on the table.
