Marcus laughed and nodded in agreement. That was pretty true, at least in his case. "Sorry babe. I'm sure you could find some other peeps to hang out with though. Maybe we can check it out later? Where in mutant town is it exactly?"

Jayda plucked the paper out of Marcus's pocket and pushed it into the pocket of her jeans, hoping to come off like a jealous girlfriend. She tugged on his arm with a scowl on her face.

He gave Salome a grin but frowned when Jayda took the paper. "Aw. Alright baby." He gave the purple hair girl a wave then spun around, taking Jayda's arm in his and walking with her back towards the bus stop.

"See you two later." Salome said, blowing Marcus a kiss Well, they can't say that I didn't try. Salome thought as she headed back towards Mutant Town I tried, but there were two of them, both combat trained.

Jayda kept a firm eye on the people around them as they waited for the bus, she was pissed with herself for not noting the tail first.

"If you were really my boyfriend I would have had your head for that little moment.." She said conversationally, though with a touch of annoyance.

He blinked at her then quirked a brow. "At what? She was the one being flirty and I was grinning that she thought I liked vagina. Besides, Jayda, you know you're the only girl for me. You knew who I'd be coming back home too." He said playfully while nudging her with his elbow.

"Flirting with you though I was right there.. we don't seem that unlikely as a couple do we?" Jayda crossed her arms across her chest against the wind. Her mind racing ahead as she tried to figure out what that was all about.

"We could check out the party, on our own terms.. or go scout out at school, see if anything is going on that we should know about.. something doesn't smell right."

"Nah. I don't think that was it. She may of thought I was interested in her or something. Maybe she was just that stuck up about how she looked." He shrugged.

"Maybe so. Everyone was given panic buttons and the original on-call for team members was about Ayami having been kidnapped by vampires. Sounds in line with the same shit to me. Anyway, I say we avoid that party. We should give the address over to Lumis though."

Marcus burst out laughing. "Damn. Hey now. I'm just saying she may of thought the same thing of herself." He grinned at her. He looked over at the others and held his hands up, defeated.

The bus pulled up cutting off conversation for the moment and Jayda skipped lightly up the stairs.

He frowned at that. "No. You wouldn't be..that'd be really wrong to do. You deserve more." He sighed. They probably even shouldn't be having this conversation. Not to mention, it was pretty wrong even if he was joking a little considering his relationship.

He blinked. "Huh? Break a few hearts? A line?" He hadn't heard of such a thing.

Marcus was surprised she'd agree to something like that. He kept his gaze away from her, unsure how to respond really. He decided to just give a nod in response. He should probably stop that part of the conversation anyway.

The pinup boy news made him laugh. "That's kinda funny."

What Jayda said took a moment to sink in, honestly, he based his views on the fact that he never really got hit on. At least, in no form that was blatant enough to catch it. Most advances probably went over his head. Of course, being out and in a three year relationship probably minized it even more. He smiled at that. His face tinted red a little.

"Maybe. Then again, I'm kinda picky. There's only one girl I'd actually consider dating."

He was taken back by whole getting the devil out of you stuff but he nodded, understanding what she was getting at. "To be honest, don't see how it couldn't affect you affect you in some way, if not for the worse. I'd have to say..most people probably wouldn't come out of situations like that as well as you did. I've came across people that have been through less and they were scarred beyond belief."

"Yeah. Upbringing's invovled and stuff but you as a person still impacts it. You're a strong girl." He brought an arm up to wrap it around her shoulder. He yawned and relaxed back in his chair some more. His eyes shifting to peer out the window as well.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His expression seemed to be nothing but rather content.

"Yeah. Hopefully we get that stuff under control soon. XU's holding up to the Xavier name for attracting weird shit. That's for sure."
