The Knight struggled against the force, and managed to regain her footing, charging forward, aimed straight at McDohl.

Melpomene steps out the way in an equally impossible move as when she bypassed the blocks. This time though she steps behind the charging knight, a dagger condensing in her hand out of thin air as she strikes at the defender.

The Knight blocked it with her sword, her eyes shooting hate into Mel's, as she struggled with the woman.

"So crude..." Mel says, closing her free hand around the blade of the sword and steps away again, taking the sword with her.

The Knight could do nothing about that and gasped as her weapon was stripped from her.

She still put up her fists, with a look of defiance.

Handling the weapon like it weighed nothing Mel takes it by the hilt and hauls it at the Knight like a javelin.

This of course had nothing to do with physical strength, not here, not against her.

Mel's supreme mastery of the mental arts caused the sword to go through the armor--and thus the knight---like a hot knife through butter.

The knight, propelled by the momentum, ended up slamming, hard, against a small, thin, black building.

McDohl stood there, shocked, she wasn't sure this is exactly what she wanted..but for right now..it would work.

"You can tell she's had some rudimentary training simply by the fact that all layers have a defense, but you did not exaggerate their weakness." Mel muses as she continues towards the gingerbread house.

Sweeping the front stoop was...Will Stanton, in all her four armed, androgynous glory.

"Can I help you two?" he asked, turning towards them.

"Certainly. You can stay right there and demonstrate the connection between the physical and the mental self to your friend there." she says while trying to conjure up a representation of Will's shifting mechanism.

"Do what now?" Will asked, politely.

A console burst up from the ground; a complex, 360-degree console, with all sorts of buttons and sliders, and a graphic representation of Will, as she stood back in the 'real world', with drop down lists of thousands and thousands of options--though many appeared to be greyed out.

"You'll see." she waves Will off while studying the console.

"Interesting. There are a couple of pre-stored templates beyond his original and default shapes. Not the one we are looking for but that would have been a little convenient, wouldn't it?" she smirks while starting to mess with some of the sliders. "Let's see, more cheekbone... wider jaw..."

Back in reality, Will's face widened slightly, the cheekbones becoming more prominent.

Back in Will's mindscape, a small wave of positive feelings washed over the landscape--small, but noticeable.

"What a convenient feedback mechanism. No wonder this is what you fixated on doing." Mel mumbles, slightly distracted by her work now as she was making sure she got every detail she knew about right. A bit more height, curlier hair. No not that curly. Freckles. Bit by bit she gives Will a complete make-over while keeping an eye on the mental representation standing in front of the gingerbread house.

More and more waves of positive feedback coursed over the land, thrilling, tingling, exciting, as Will was re-molded under Mel's expert fingers.

The Will standing in the mindscape, too, began to shift and twist...

Mel kept going back to details, fixing things up she wasn't quite satisfied with yet, silently cursing the loss of someone who had made the physical aspect of this much simpler.

Mel puts the finishing touches on Will and retreats from his mind enough to take a look at him, well her now, from the physical world.

"Not perfect but getting close." she nods at the now red-haired Will.

Will, all red-haired and irish, just stood there, staring straight ahead, still under Sara's spell.

"And there you see the biggest problem. She'll do what you want but she's nothing more than a puppet right now." And with that, and rather unceremoniously, she snapped the threads keeping Will under Sara's influence.

Will staggered forward some.

"Wh...where am I? What...what was I doing here..." she mumbled, getting her bearings, looking around.

"You really weren't joking when you said she was impressionable. I've never seen someone who takes to it quite that fast." she says to Sara while 'Will' is away. "I do suppose in time she'd make a suitable substitute if things don't pan out like they should."
