Auxiliary Team Insertion Point - Genosha Memorial Park

[Marcus Kingston]

Since nothing else was going on, he decided to follow Will's lead. Some doughnuts and soda was good right about now. After grabbing some of the goodies, he went to check on some of the other locals that were still around to see how they were doing.

[Narrator]

The man frowns. "What, so you won't tell us? Fine, make jokes if you want, but this is our home what just got shot up."

[Constantine McGraw]

"And it's your home that didn't get blown up. It's your people that didn't get shot.

There was enough gas on that truck to level the park and anything nearby. We were here to stop that happening."

[Narrator]

The man shakes his head. "That's how it's going to be? Fine, we're grateful." The crowd turns away from Constantine, sour expressions on their faces.

[Nina Madaraki]

"Oh, dear," Nina says, watching the exchange with a sigh.

[Constantine McGraw]

Con pulled out his smokes thoughtfully, resisting the urge to snap at the man. This was why musicians had PR people.

[Will Stanton]

"Whrm, thrt cldv gn bttr"

Will MEANT to say "Well, that could've gone better", but he had a donut in his mouth.

[Marcus Kingston]

"Hm.." He watched the locals that seemed pretty displeased with Constantine for whatever reason then turned to face Will. "Maybe we should talk to them?"

[Will Stanton]

"Couldn't hurt, let's go. Smiles and all."

[Marcus Kingston]

Marcus gave Will a nod and walked over to the group Constantine was talking to earlier.

"How's everyone doing over here? I thought I'd check up on you guys."

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah, don't mind Fearless Leader, he can be a bit of a grouch at times. Everyone OK over here? I hope we didn't shake you guys up too much."

[Narrator]

The locals warm up a little bit more, and the spokesman nods. "Yes, we're alright. Your friend there fixed up the only person who got hurt. Do you know why those men were here?"

[Constantine McGraw]

With the locals in the hands of Marcus and Will, Constantine backed off, putting through a call to Lumis.

"Area is secure. Minor injuries to once civilian, around 20 unconcious hostiles."

[Domanic Taylor]

"Vans are incoming to pick up whatever hostiles haven't fled, and then we'll extract your team. Don't bother stopping anyone who runs now, I doubt they'll be back after what happened today."

[John Hino]

John returned to the others in the park, grateful the blue mutant was being taken care of.

[Marcus Kingston]

The locals warm up a little bit more, and the spokesman nods. "Yes, we're alright. Your friend there fixed up the only person who got hurt. Do you know why those men were here?"

He didn't think they really had to hide the reason why the men were here. It was fairly obvious and the potential riot the other day due to the policemen must of spread around the town by then. The locals didn't need to know every detail but a little information would probably comfort them and maybe they'd be sure to avoid some of the confrontations with the thugs if they knew what was happening.

"A long story short, a lot of people don't like the mutant population being in London anymore. Since the new college opened, there's been humans coming in and out trying to stir up to locals and get you guys to attack them. They want to prove that mutants are dangerous and should be carted off somewhere, registered, or whatever."

[Narrator]

"What, prove we're violent by bringin in trucks full of gas, and guns? Bloody hell."

[Marcus Kingston]

"That was their back up plan for not falling into their little trap I guess. To be honest, I'm not even sure what they were thinking on that one. I hae no idea how they would of covered it up. In the end, if they did somehow manage to not take the blame, there'd be a ton of pissed off mutants ready to fight back. So, maybe that was a motive."

[Narrator]

"Well I don't know what the hell they were thinkin either, but I'm glad you kids stopped it."

[Narrator]

Vans arrive to collect the unconscious thugs. There's a fair amount of bitching on the part of the van drivers on the state of the thugs that Rachel subdued, but they haul them into the vans just the same.

[Marcus Kingston]

"You guys are welcome. I'm just glad we could do something and that no one else ended up hurt. If you guys come across anything suspicious or you get anymore groups of thugs roaming around, let us know. After today though, I hope we put them in their place and maybe they'll leave you guys alone."

[Narrator]

"Well how do we get ahold of you then?"

[Marcus Kingston]

Heh. That is a good question. Not like we have a hotline or something.

"We'll probably be popping back in now and then to make sure things are okay. So I'm more than sure you'll see us around."

[Narrator]

"Well alright then. How about we tell Mrs. Chesterfield, and she can mindtalk to you lads if we need something? I think I heard that she's been in touch with you University folk already."

[Narrator]

With the thugs loaded up and shipped out, another vehicle arrives to take Team 2 back to the school, though they'll wait for the team to board it in their own time.

[Marcus Kingston]

"Mrs. Chesterfield?" I think Will posted something about her on XNU. He glanced over at Will for a moment. "Well, if that's true, sounds like a good idea to me."

[Narrator]

"Aye, she takes care of folks round here, she'll probably know before we can even go tell her."

[Marcus Kingston]

He looked over at the van. "Well, we should get going. We'll see you folks around though! You all have a good day."

[Will Stanton]

"Tell Ms. Chesterfield 'Hi' for me, and ask her if this is enough support."

[Narrator]

"See you around, lads! Aye, we'll tell her."

[Will Stanton]

"To the vans! And, then to the bar!

Wait, there's probably a debriefing first. So, the vans, the debriefing, then the bar!

Wait, I still really need a shower. So, to sum up, the vans, the debriefing, my shower, and then...the bar!"

[Marcus Kingston]

He chuckled at Will. "We'll just see when we get back." He walked to the van that was waiting for them and climbed inside.
