"Maybe they're not" cam a flat, quiet voice as Con drifted silently down the corrider. "But given you seem to think this is a negotation, let me make you a counter offer.

Give us all of them and we'll give you a head start. Otherwise, well, I'm not feeling very fucking reasonable right now."

Con looked even worse than he had done when he'd been freed from the rubble. Somewhere along the way he'd lost his coat and the front of his uniform was completely blood-drenched.

He looked about fit to start world war three.

"It seems I am not being taken seriously," the man says, leveling a cold gaze at Constantine.

The man sighs and looks up at the monitor, "Destroy the girl's mind."

On the monitor, Rebecca nods and turns her gaze towards Nina. Stroking the girls cheek, she lifts Nina's face up. Nina's eyes flutter open for a moment.

And then Nina begins to scream, her back arching as she struggles uselessly against her restraints to escape her captors.

God damnit, Con!
"Tell her to stop!" Sara stared with horror at the scene playing out on the monitor. "Conduit is not speaking for the team anymore."

Victoria's eyes were, again, red as she entered, there seemed to be a red tint to her skin around the myriad cuts that had gone through her uniform, particularly at the one where she'd been stabbed. "Stop killing her," she said. "And tell us what you want." She gave Con a very, very threatening 'keep your fucking mouth shut or I'll rip it off' look.

An unseen signal and Rebecca stepped away and Nina hunched over, sobbing.

"I've made my request clear," the man says, "Leave and you take the girl and your teacher with you."

"I will not repeat myself again."

Bear nodded.. Time was something that was apparently running out very quickly.

"Let's go, now." She said as she entered the hidden bunker, hopeful that they would be enough to save Nina..

Jayda and Bear wouldn't have to go far before they reached the door that led to the main area. They could hear movement inside and Nina's voice very indistinctly through the door.

-------------------------

The man smiles and snaps his fingers again. There's a sound of a door opening and Amanda and Stan are dragged out by two large and burly vampires.

"We will send the girl to you when we are finished here," the man says, "Do we have a deal?"

"None," the man says with a chuckle, "But dictating terms is not a way for any of you children to live."

The man smiles warmly at Stan, "I'm sorry we were interrupted. Boisterous house guests always make work difficult."

Stan's time in captivity had not been kind to him.

He was gaunt, pale, and clearly out of it, unaware of much that was going on. In addition, the fangs and claws were not a positive sight to anyone, perhaps excepting the Progenitor.

The man just smiles, the guards stepping away from Stan and Amanda.

One of the guards whispers something the man, causing his smile to broaden. He glances over at one of the monitors briefly.

At seeing Mr Bowen, John was close to agreeing to have Con blast the scientist into oblivion. However, sacrificing any hostage was against his code of honor.

John looked to the monitor.

Victoria nodded, then motioned for the others to walk out. "Make sure nothing else happens to them. I'll wait here to watch things... seeing how I'm the non-threatening one," she said, never taking her eyes off the scientist.

Jayda nodded to Bear as they approached the door hearing movement from within, indicating she should stand on the other side of it and out of the immediate fire zone. Hopefully when the door opened outwards it would give Bear cover behind it from which to attack.

Jayda took a position in the shadows, slipping back into them so that she was once again hidden, her gun at the ready.

"We have found where we believe Nina is being held. There's a lot of movement within.. we are in place to engage hostiles."

Upon hearing that Sara looks back at the Progenitor. "I guess that's it then..." Casting a quick glance at John and then at Stan she charges towards the vampire holding Amanda, intending to get between the two.
"Dominion, Closer, get her out of there, NOW!"

Let me give this a try, Closer. Hold tight for a moment.

Turning to face into the shadows Jayda studied the room in which Nina was being held, a wall on the opposite side from where she stood seemed to hold the answer. Drawing her gun Jayda used the male vamps own shadow as a portal and sent a bullet through straight towards the back of his skull.

Hopefully no one would notice the slightly darker spot in the shadow which was the tiniest bit of the tip of Jayda's guns barrel before he was done for, then she would turn the gun on the other vamp a split second later. All from the 'safety' of the other room.

The vampires looked surprised, grappling with John and Sara as they seem torn between keeping the hostages in line and protecting their boss.

"Stop them!" the man yelled angrily.

Jayda's shot managed to kill Rebecca with ease, but a split second was all Jacob needed. Moving quickly, he avoided a fatal shot and took the bullet in the shoulder.

John held nothing back as he kneed his foe in the gut. If it had a large enough effect he'd shove him back and tail-whip him into the powered equipment.

Hesitating is all Sara needs. She's had enough of betrayal, vivisections, in-fighting and just everything by now and just wants this whole thing to end. Whatever part of her arms manage to press against the vamps torso in their struggle rapidly grows spikes, trying to penetrate the vamp as far as possible while she holds on to him.

Closer? One hostile down, taking action against the other - come remove Trauma Pack, while I distract him?

Jayda used another shadow portal and took aim again, looking to shot him in rapid succession in the knee then stomach, hoping to disable Jacob before she and Bear entered the room.

John managed to slam the vampire into the console, the sounds of delicate electronics breaking as he hits. Slowly, the vampire gets back up and advances on John.

Sara's foe looks surprised as it's skewered by her spikes. It looks down at it's bleeding torso and begins to go limp.

Jayda's shots manage to hit Jacob, who lets out a cry of pain as he collapses onto the floor.

The man looks calm in the center of all this chaos, gazing steadily at Victoria and the others. He glances at his watch.

"I suppose negotiations have broken down then," the man says, "It would be a pity, but I was never planning on leaving you alive in the first place."

Con didn't reply to Victoria, there didn't seem to be any point.

Raising his arm, he drifted across the corridor to get a clear shot then unleashed a blast at the 'scientist'.

More powerful than his usual blasts, it would at least stagger him even if it didn't cause him significant harm. Unless he was actually human of course...

John's claws rake across the vampires skin, slashing away at it's flesh and making it shriek in pain.

Con's blast blows the man's arm clear off. The man lets out a brief yell of pain and clutches what's left of his shoulder.

The man smiles at Con, "You're...too late."

From the hallways beyond them, the group can hear a high pitched shriek and the sound of something skittering towards them.

A lot of somethings.
