Weaver's Warehouse - First Friday Party

[Zoe Walker]

"Your priorities make sense to me!" and she fires back the last of the tequila in her shotglass, not entirely certain how many times she did that during the first act.

[Narrator]

Following Melody's example, a few other clubbers take a break and head outside the warehouse.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy makes her way to the bar and snags a rum and coke.

"So who's that pale chick over there? I like her corset." Mercy points at Jezebelle.

[Zoe Walker]

Zoe follows the finger, then bites on her lower lip, "Uh. I seen her around, don't remember her name though."

[Jezebelle]

Jezebelle continues her looking around, with a bit of a bored, irritated expression.

[Mercy Wilkins]

"She looks like she got stood up." Mercy shrugs, sips her new drink. "She's looking for somebody."

[Zoe Walker]

"Happens to the best of us," she shrugs, "I'm sure she'll recover, yeah?"

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear suddenly starts feeling hot, and the need for a little air.

Tapping Ayami and John, she let them know she was going out for a minute, and headed for the door.

[Mercy Wilkins]

"So... stop me if I'm being a bitch but... isn't that buckle thing a bit 2015?" Mercy sips her drink. "I mean, I like a good buckle as much as the next girl..."

[Zoe Walker]

She smirks and adjusts one of the wrist buckles, "I was planning on getting drunk tonight, and sometimes my control slips a little. So I pulled out one of the dresses that won't just slide off. 'sides, it's my distin... dish.. it's my thing."

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy laughs good naturedly, and kisses Zoe on the cheek. "I see there was an advantage to being right next to where Constantine was floating."

[Talia Fawnsworth]

Much like Jezebelle, Talia seems a little bored. She glances down as the phone in her purse vibrates, and pulls it out. With all the noise it's hard to talk, so she slips out to a more quiet location.

[Zoe Walker]

"Are you insin.. implying I can't hold my booze?" She grins impishly at the kiss. "I'll have you know I have good tol.. I can drink a lot for my weight."

[Mercy Wilkins]

"I'm sure you can. In fact, I think you already have. It's okay hon, I'll watch out for you." She ruffles Zoe's short hair gently.

[Ayami Morita]

Bear suddenly starts feeling hot, and the need for a little air.

Tapping Ayami and John, she let them know she was going out for a minute, and headed for the door.

"Don't be too long, now" Ayami smiled back.

[Narrator]

The intermission music winds down, and the lead singer of 5 Men Down steps up to the mike.

"Hey London, are you ready to make some NOISE?"

[Zoe Walker]

She wrinkles her nose at the hair ruffle and playfully swats at the hand, "What is it about my hair that gets makes people do that? 'm gonna shave it all off next time.."

[Byrna Cooper]

Ayami's cellphone flashes and buzzes and rings.

[Mercy Wilkins]

"It's because we can't muss it up." Mercy's response is almost lost in the screams that follow the lead singer's question.

[Narrator]

The crowd screams, and the band launches into one of their signature songs, it's been playing on all the radios and it's been all over the net.

People swarm to the dance floor to dance, the music is fast, hard, and loud enough to make the old building tremble!

[Ayami Morita]

Ayami picks up her cell, via the vibration (not that she can hear it!)

”はい、彩水ですけど。。。”

[Zoe Walker]

Whatever response she was going to make is entirely lost in the chaos. Instead she grins and grabs Mercy's hand, making her way towards the dance area as well.

[Byrna Cooper]

"Ayami? can you hear me?"

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy hesitates, as this is not her preferred genre of music to dance to, but laughs and follows along, using little rings of Darkforce to keep people from bumping into her wings.

[Narrator]

It is really, really loud in the warehouse at the moment. Without earphones, or some kind of mutant power, nobody is going to be able to have much of a phone conversation.

[Ayami Morita]

"Bear-chan? What? Listen, I can't hear you--you're still outside, yeah? I'll just come to you..."

[Zoe Walker]

It's not really Zoe's thing either, but she's drunk, and there's a crowd, and what the hell. She digs out some space via the simpler expedient of being a spunky girl with sharp elbows.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy dances. It's not really suited to the music, her current style, but she's good looking and has a low neckline so she doesn't get many derisive looks.

[Zoe Walker]

Zoe grins and moves in closer to Mercy, staying within her wingspan for extra protection from the crowd. She's not showing any cleavage tonight but she's got the right attitude for most of the crowd, and is drunk enough to not care about the rest.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy dances close to Zoe, eventually ringing them both in some Darkforce. It's weak, and sputtering, but it's enough to keep people from bumping into the girls, which would hurt Mercy's wings, or groping them, which Mercy is not drunk enough yet to put up with.

[Zoe Walker]

"You're awesome, Mercy. I always liked you," she nods, though unless her dancing partner is really good at reading lips, the words are probably lost in the noise. The smile is visible though.

[Narrator]

From outside, even over the intensely loud music, a couple of thunderous booms can be heard. Fireworks maybe? Gunshots perhaps?

[Jezebelle]

Jezebelle frowns, and gets up from the bar to head for the door. She abandons subtlety, pushing people out of her way and forcing others to move with her telepathic abilities.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy pulls Zoe closer, looking around. "I feel like something is wrong. Does it seem that way to you?"

[Zoe Walker]

"Uh.. that noise came from outside, kinda strange. Looked like some people heading out quickly, and not happy about it."

[Mercy Wilkins]

"Um... you're on a team so uh... what do we do in a situation like this?"

[Zoe Walker]

"I'm also drunk.. so take a look and call for backup? If you see Constantine or Victoria, tap 'em for me?" She sighs and shakes her head, then starts to move for the exit.

[Mercy Wilkins]

Mercy puts an arm around Zoe's waist to help steady her, and heads for the door.

[Teri Napliotis]

With first Byrna and then Ayami disappearing outside and apparently not coming back Teri decides that the obnoxiously loud music isn't much of a reason to stay. Not bothering to push her way through the dense crowd she breaks apart and swarms to the ceiling, disappearing through the nearest airduct and eventually swarming out into the night-sky.

[John Hino]

John was getting worried, and so he headed outside. As he did, he heard the ambulances.
