From deep in the service tunnels, the sounds of movements could be heard. From the markings on the walls it sounded as though they were coming from the stadium's loading dock.

"For fuck's sake, can't you two secure her? The last thing we need is her trying to run away and getting herself shot."

As they drew near the corner the team would be able to see that the area that the hallway opened up to was indeed the loading docks where the stadium's supplies were delivered. A handful of men in body armour stood with automatic weapons, others in staff uniforms moving supplies out of sight. In the midst of this all stood a tall, lanky man, his fine Italian suit contrasting the rough work wear of those around him.

"No you can't untie her! Just get her strapped in and ready to go!" He bellowed, his voice sounding very familiar.

The Princess stood between two men in body armour, each holding her by an arm. Her wrists were bound together using what looked like industrial zipties and her mouth was gagged. She struggled and protested as she was escorted out of sight to another part of the loading dock.

Apparently one of the hand signals Rob had made was meant to mean "flash grenades". Because that's what he suddenly armed and threw into the room, letting off blasts of light, noise and thick clouds of smoke.

Guy phased into the room the Princess was taken into, behind some convenient cover. With the X-men making their move, now was his best shot.

Keep them distracted, please God keep them distracted. Just long enough for me steal the bargaining chip out from under their noses.

The flash grenades were unexpected, sending several of the lackeys tripping over themselves and onto the floor. The loading bay was like a warehouse however, meaning that there was a very large amount of space to cover. Those further away from the blast recovered much more quickly, rushing to reach the intrepid heroes with weapons drawn.

"Augh! Fuck! What do I pay you idiots for? Shoot them!" Simon bellowed. His back having been to the grenades left him still able to see though his ears were certainly ringing, blocking out the sound of weapons fire from the lackey's AK's and Uzi's as they took cover behind some of the shipping containers. He ran toward where the princess was being held, leaving his men to do the dirty work.

Princess Louise was being held in a small shipping office with two large, heavily armoured henchmen. Their clothes looked different from the rest, with helmets and goggles, their weapons a much higher quality than most of the people there.

"The fuck was that?" One of them muttered when the grenades exploded, opening the door and looking out. For the moment, the two of them had their backs to the princess.

Guy slipped quietly behind them and grabbed the princess gently.

"You're not going to like this, but you're going to have to trust me..." he whispered. He phased with her and pulled her towards the wall to an adjacent room. With any luck they could get a few walls between them and the terrorists before they even noticed she was gone.

To her credit, Princess Louise didn't resist her savior. His sudden appearance did frighten her however, causing her to make a noise.

"Hey, shut up-" One of the guards turned around, seeing Guy as he began pulling the captive through the wall. He immediately raised his weapon and began firing at the pair, bullets passing through their phased forms to impact the wall.

As some of the thugs were kneeling on the floor the others had quickly taken up position behind makeshift barricades of crates and service vehicles. The suppressing fire they were laying down against the team was probably more accurate than the X-men had predicted; these men were professionals, their commands to each other in a language that sounded like it came from Eastern Europe, likely a country that was formerly part of the USSR. Bullets began tearing apart the wooden crate that Rob had hidden behind, large chunks of wood and splinters being torn apart before the projectiles began punching through the other side.

As Will and Chloe approached Simon they had to run through the henchmen, creating a crossfire zone that for less experienced combatants would have been bad for both sides. But the trigger discipline of the henchmen caused the gunfire around them to lessen, the bullets that were fired came frightening close, whizzing by their heads and in Will's case, through his head. The munitions were of a small calibre often associated with automatic weapons, having little effect on the clay man.

"Pozrite sa veliteľ!"

Simon turned around quickly, the very familiar face staring at the two with a pair of cold, unforgiving eyes. Already in his gloved hand was a massive silver and black revolver that measured almost two feet in length. Someone must be compensating for something and these were the two people in this universe who would know if that were true or not.

"Not now sweetheart, daddy's busy."

The sound of the revolver being fired boomed over even the bedlam of the firefight. And in that instant, Will Stanton would discover what it was like to be shot in the head by a bullet that could kill a grizzly bear in a single shot.

The Princess might find the airlessness of Guy's brand of phasing frightening as he continued to rush her along through wall after wall, trying to make the only avenue of pursuit through the X-men. He did however, soon pause for air. He phased off her bounds and removed the gag.

"Are you hurt?"

The Princess took a deep breath, obviously rather shaken by her experience.

"I-I'm fine." She said, rubbing a large bruise on her arm. "A little worse for the wear but I do not think they wanted to see me harmed. I am not much of a bargaining chip if I am dead.

Beneath his practiced cool exterior he was actually quite terrified, as attested to by a slight tremor in his hand.

With a flick of the wrist, the multi tool turns into a baton and sends a blast of force towards the people shooting at him.

The henchmen at the center of the pulse were sent hurtling backward with their guns clattering away from them. One of the large crates being used for cover teetered, the gunman screaming before it slammed down on top of him. For his troubles Rob brought even more guns to bear on him, bullets whizzing past far too close for comfort.

Having focused on Will first, Simon allowed Chloe to come a little too close for comfort. Though no sooner had her sharp carnivorous teeth sunk into the fabric of his suit sleeve than his massively strong hand grabbed her by the neck and slammed her against the floor.

"Don't. Touch. The threads." He said, aiming the revolver at her head. The hammer was drawn back, and -

"Sir! The princess has escaped!"

"WHAT?!" Simon bellowed, momentarily distracted.

He phased them both through the next wall and onward towards the abandoned security monitoring room he had used to piece together a plan. There they could see the enemy coming.

The henchmen who didn't duck behind cover quickly learned their mistake, screaming and flailing wildly as they were ignited. Stray irratic fire peppered the walls and crates in all directions as some of the men panicked, one henchman with an AK getting plugged in the head by a flame-engulfed man wielding an Uzi.

"K zemi!"

A few green orbs were lobbed into the air from behind cover, these grenades looking like they did more than just make a loud bang.

And connected Chloe did, the warm wetness of Simon's blood felt upon her claws as he was forced for the moment to drop his revolver. With his hand still on her throat he lifted the dinogirl off the floor completely and slammed her down hard enough that she bounced on the floor.

"Do you people. Have ANY IDEA. How hard it is to get suits tailored in my size?" Simon screamed, raising his arm to the two guards behind him.

"Finish them off. If you want something done right you've got to do it yourself." Walking away from the scene his tail scooped up his revolver off the floor. From inside the office the sound of a monkey man plowing himself through a concrete wall was muffled by the screams and gunfire. Guy and the Princess would probably hear him coming through a couple of walls like a scrawny Juggernaut before he finally burst into the same room as them, concrete dust and debris flying in all directions.

"I think this is the part where I say something witty, but I can't think of anything, so..." Simon pulled a massive piece of rebar out of the shattered wall, the end topped with a chunk of concrete that looked like it could weight a couple of hundred pounds. With a primal scream he ran forward, aiming to smash Guy into jam. Had he known Guy's plan, he probably would have said something along the lines of "Bet you didn't see this comin'!". But he hadn't, so he didn't, and Guy would have to settle for a "RRAWR!" instead.
