A little taste of home

[Ryan Gabriel]

It wasn't exactly a short ride from London to their destination, but then again, Ryan wasn't exactly taking the drive slowly. Their little excursion took them from London into the countryside, stopping for lunch at a little place that Ryan had evidently searched out when he planned this.

Finally, he pulled them up outside a little ranch, with horses visible in corrals a little ways off. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a place that will let you ride and has western saddles around here?" Ryan commented idly as they pulled in.

Anita squeals! She hugs Ryan, jumping up and down, making happy squeaky noises. The content of those noises is opaque to Ryan unless he has a squeal to English translator.

Ryan chuckled as he set his jacket down on the bike. "So... I take it that this is okay?" he mused when he could finally breath again and they were starting toward the building.

Anita grins. "This is awesome! Thanks so much Ryan! Yer the best!"

"Just trying to make the lady happy," Ryan said with a grin as they made their way inside to check in. Everything had been arranged in advance, and they were even a little early. Ryan had evidently also told them that Anita was an experienced rider, because after a few pointed questions to make sure that he hadn't been feeding them a line, they skipped most of the usual instructions that would have bored Anita to death.

Fairly soon, they were set up with their horses and told where the paths and fields they could take were.

Anita is beaming as she rides the horse out, and up a trail. "Mmm, it's been way too long." She checks to see how Ryan's doing on a horse.

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan is obviously not quite as adept on a horse as Anita is. However, he was a quick study as usual, and kept up with her. His wings made him a bit amusing to watch, but he seemed to be trying to find a comfortable and convenient way to hold them as they rode. "Well, I'm glad that I can still have a good idea every so often."

[Anita Fernandez]

"I can't remember a lot of bad ones that ya had." Anita trots her horse a short distance and then brings it around back to Ryan.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Well, it's good to hear a vote of confidence in my judgement," Ryan chuckled. He started testing how well the horse responded, getting it to trot too, and getting used to how to sit in the saddle. "You're the expert... let's see how well I can keep up with you," he said with a grin.

[Anita Fernandez]

"We probably shouldn't gallop em, just ta be safe and polite. But there's no problem with a trott, that's how fast we're supposed to be ridin' anyway." Anita kicks her horse's sides, and bounces along, trotting down the trail.

Ryan, it turned out, couldn't quite keep up with Anita. Not for lack of trying, of course. He didn't lag too far behind, though, and eventually caught up with her. "If I... ever hear anyone say that... the horse does all the work, I'm going to hit them," he said with a grin.

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita laughs and pulls to a stop. "Yeah... by the way, did ya know that you're gonna be walkin' bow-legged tomorrow?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I was sort of hoping that... I could kill the soreness enough to not have to," he answered. "I suppose you've been doing this long enough that you won't be?" he added, smirking.

[Anita Fernandez]

"I might be a little sore, it's been a while. But the ballarina muscles will help a lot. All them squats."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"I'm going to refrain from making any of the obvious comments right now, since we both know we're thinking them."

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita grins, teasing. "I hope you can still do that kind of stuff after this, hope ya ain't too sore."

[Ryan Gabriel]

"If you want proof, I'll give you proof," Ryan said, smiling wickedly back at her. "Besides, I still need to be able to walk after this. We can't really end the night early, can we?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"Sure can't. I think we should ride a bit more though." Anita sets off at a trott, not to be cruel, but because that is in fact the proper traveling pace on horseback.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"We're here as long as you want," Ryan said, grinning. "That's the whole point here." He wasn't quite keeping up, but he wasn't lagging behind much, either. He seemed to be getting the hang of it a little more.

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita is happy to ride for hours, but she'll follow the trails and explore a little, and then head back to the barn when Ryan looks like he's starting to get a bit worse for wear.

"Thanks fer takin' me out here again hon. It was an amazin' surprise."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan, for his part, seems to get used to the riding. His biggest drawback seemed to be his wings. He made a mental note to keep them strapped down if they came out here again.

"I'm just glad you had a good time," he said, climbing down. He stretched his legs and wings when he hit the ground, glowing faintly. "I know I had fun, even if I'm not exactly a competent rider," he added with a grin.

[Anita Fernandez]

"Ridin' horses is great." Anita tries not to bore Ryan, but she does brush her horse down a little, smiling happily and humming as she does.

Finally, she pets the horses one last time, and walks back to the motorcyle. "Mmmm, somebody's gonna get a big reward."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan, on the other hand, doesn't seem to be easy to bore. She was enjoying herself, and he enjoyed seeing her happy.

He grinned at her as he crammed back into his jacket harness. "And the day isn't even over yet," he mused.

[Anita Fernandez]

"Oooh, are we goin' somewhere else?"

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Wellllll... I figured we could get cleaned up so that we can go get something to eat, and then I remember hearing that people are going clubbing tonight. Sort of a metal/goth scene, from what I understood. Y'know, if you think you're up to it," he said, making the last part sound like a casual challenge.

[Anita Fernandez]

"Yeah, sounds cool! Why wouldn't I be up for it, it's dancin'!" Anita grins.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"Of course," Ryan smirked, "I don't know what I could have been thinking. So... go hang out until it's time to eat and go clubbing? Or did you wise up and get sick of my company?"

[Anita Fernandez]

"I'm not gonna get sick of ya any time soon." Anita leans in to give Ryan a kiss.

[Ryan Gabriel]

"And that is very good to hear," Ryan said, kissing her back. "You want to drive back? I don't know how well you were paying attention to the route we took."

[Anita Fernandez]

"Naw, you can drive. It's not as much fun if I don't have a ton of cars ta dodge, and anyway, more chance of us bein' caught durin' the day." Anita smiles. "I like bein' your bike chick."

[Ryan Gabriel]

Ryan grinned, brushing his fingers through her hair. "Good, because I like having a sexy bike chick with me. You fill the spot very niely," he teased.

[Anita Fernandez]

Anita smiles, snuggles up to Ryan on the bike.

And with that, away they went.

Anita hangs on as they zip off to a restaurant in Bankside.
