Dinner at Holly and Rose

Postby Ethan Cheng » Thu Sep 09, 2010 12:20 am

Victoria, Averi and Ethan were promptly seated and ask for the drink preferences in Holly and Rose, the type of restaurant that might be called an upscale steakhouse in America. The menu had a little bit of everything.

"Hm, what to order, what to order..."

"Hmmm... I think something medium rare in a wine sau- ah, there, that looks good," Victoria said, looking at her own menu.

Averi's eyes scanned over the menu and quickly found what she wanted to order. She closed the menu and set it down, smiling over at the other two.

A waiter came by a few moments later to take their orders.

"One of these days, we're going to run out of new restaurants around here."

"If that ever happens, I'll just open a new one," Victoria said idly. "Related note, we'd better not run out of new places for a few years."

"I'm sure it would be great. So, if you were to open just one, right now, what kind of place would it be?"

"I've been finding good results with Italian-Indian fusion recipes," Victoria said, looking over the appetizers. "Something like that would probably do well in London. Although I might want to save that idea for when I'm ready to be a head chef myself instead of just the owner-manager."

He looked...well, intrigued at that. "I don't think I've tried that combination. Garlic meets garam masala, I guess. Sounds good, actually."

Averi was a little surprised by that. "Oh. I didn't know you enjoyed cooking Victoria. That does sound like a delightful idea."
