Mar 30th: Your Best Buys

[Douglas Decker]

Doug exited an electronics store, carrying a bag.

[Narrator]

A guy standing at the edge of the alley glanced nervously around before approaching Doug.

"'Ey, man," the vagrant says, "Spare some change or something, eh?"

[Douglas Decker]

Doug ignored him, and kept walking.

[Narrator]

The man stepped quickly after Doug, "'Ey, don't walk away from me!"

Doug can hear the distinct snap of a switchblade of some sort.

[Douglas Decker]

Doug turned around, and stared the guy down without emotion.

[Narrator]

The guy paused for a moment, looking nervous. His hands were shaking and there were tracks on his arms.

"Just...give me your wallet!" The man says quickly, looking around nervously, "Don't fuck wit-..."

The man trailed down, looking up as a shadow fell across him. And then a form dressed in black landed on top of him, knocking him to the ground.

Doug, eyebrow raised, looked down at the man, and then up at the figure in black.

[Narrator]

It was obviously a girl. It was hard to cover that fact when wearing a skin tight outfit, even with the cloak and pointy eared cowl.

A yellow stylized bat was emblazoned on her chest and her entire face was covered by a tight mask.

She quickly tied the man's hands to a pole, glancing over at Doug.

[Douglas Decker]

Doug raised an eyebrow.

"Even in our universe, this is highly improbable."

[Narrator]

The girl bows her head and leaps into the shadows, disappearing.

[Douglas Decker]

"Who WAS that masked woman," Doug said, drolly.
