Issue 1 Downtime

Upon Kaylee's return the school, she found herself in the danger room. She had ran through a few simulations, pushing herself to her limit. She had to make sure that under no circumstances, if she used her power that it was not in control. Through the later part of the school year, she had fell ill several times. Something that she honestly thought wasn't possible in her condition. The first time, she really thought was a fluke but when it happened again she had no choice but to leave. Some time in the infirmary and after a check up back at Muir Island for awhile, she was given 'clean' bill of health. She smirked at the thought. Even if they had said no, it's not like it would of mattered..she was more than used to isolation.

She stood there in the middle of an alleyway. In front of her, some thugs had been strung up in the air by thick threads of the bacterial ooze. She wasn't doing much else but making sure that none of them were falling ill from her power. She was relieved that was the case but as she watched..she couldn't help but feel a little disgusted. A feeling she hadn't felt since her mutation first appeared.

The system chimed as John entered the observation room. He then went to look and see who was using the room.

Oh... she's back...

She laughed softly to herself, waving a hand as the threads of bacteria dropped their victims to the ground before starting to slither their way back to her form. "End Simulation." She said as he placed a hand over her mouth and closed her eyes.

Sometimes I can't help but wonder how gross I am...really..

She did enough testing for today, at least, as much as she could stomach. She thought about loading up something else but the idea was washed away with a flood of other things. All of which she would f swore she had gotten over.

"...Are you alright in there?" he hesitantly asked over the intercom.

The voice startled her completely, enough that she jumped. She looked around for a moment before her eyes locked on the observation room. She smiled at little.

"Honestly? Not one bit."

"Do you... want to go somewhere and talk about it?"

She thought that over for a moment before giving in. "Sure. Your room okay?"

"Works for me."

She nodded and turned around to exit the Danger Room. Once she had changed back into some normal clothes, she followed John to his room. "Sorry...by the way, for having be gone so much."

"It's... well... sometimes we all have things we need to sort out... right?" he responded as they walked out.
