I8DT - Movin' Stuff For The Man (Open)

Wanda disliked using pallet jacks, but actually carrying the pallets of food was more awkward than maintenance was willing to risk. So now she was pulling one along near the dining hall, loaded with stuff that she had to drop off at various places in the building.

John trudged across her path, not entirely mindful of his surroundings. He seemed depressed, though with his features it could be difficult to tell.

Wanda hauled the jack up short, getting it stopped just fine, although some of the boxes decided to make a break for it and tumbled to the floor.

That got his attention.

"Oh God... I'm sorry. I... I wasn't looking..." he sighed.

"Here, let help," he said, kneeling to help pick up the boxes.

Wanda worked to put the boxes back on the pile as well, "Something wrong, John?"

"I... shouldn't burden you with it..." he answered. It wasn't like him to hide his problems quite that way, but his past had never quite hurt the way it should before either.

"Okay, well I've got more drop offs to make, so if it's not here, it'll have to wait until I'm done with work," she said, easily getting the jack moving again.
