Issue 1 Downtime

Raven and Kim hurried back to their dorm room.

"Close the door!" she called, hurrying to her Bag of Stuffs.

"Aye aye, Cap'n!" she mock-salutes and closes the door.

"Like, where did I put everything? Moving totally sucks..."

"In the thing with the stuff? You know... where the whatsis are?"

"Gee, thanks, Kim," she said, rolling her eyes, and producing a key to open a box hidden behind the bed near the side of the wall under some sheets weighed down by some books under some papers.

"Well waddaya want? I didn't pack your stuff."

"I know, I know, I know!" she said, pulling out a small box, locked SEPERATLEY from the others, and opening that one.

She pulled out a small doll, carefully made, of winded fibers tied together, and a long silver knife, leaving everything else still in the box.

"So, like, shut up." she says in a good natured tone.

"Shhh! Shh shh shh. The candles! The lights!"

"Right, right!" she says and turns off the light. Then turns the light back ON to first go and set up and light the candles.

"You are SUCH a spaz."

Kim just exaggeratedly rolls her eyes at Raven before hitting the lights again for real this time.

Raven lit the candles, sending a weird flickering light over the room, slow incense smoke curling up.

Raven moved the poppet back and forth through the smoke, chanting.

"Hecate, great Goddess of life and death, I ask you to acknowledge that this Creation of cloth be known as the flesh and blood of Guy."

She took the dagger, and cut a small slit in the center of the doll, and took the lumped mass of hair, retrieved from the bathroom, and placed it inside.

Again, she waved it through the smoke, wrapping a red ribbon around the doll

It is done." she said, after a moment.

Kim quietly claps her hands. "Awesome!"

"Well, don't get too excited just yet. We have to see if it, like, works."

"It totally did, I'm sure!" she nods enthusiastically.

"We will see, Kim. You can't rush magick."

"Right. Of course."
