Will had a thin-lipped smile as he walked inside, letting Sara carry Robin.

Turning around to Will her cheery demeanor leaves her face a bit.

"You okay?" she asks quietly.

"... srrrrkhn?"

A thin brown-furred tail twitched over the back of the couch before Simon's face crept up into sight.

"... you're home. You're home!"

Thud.

"What the!" Sara spins around, clutching Robin to her chest. She's still a little on edge.

Simon was on his feet and practically beaming.

"You guys made it back!" He said. "I was so worried I was going to end up having to fulfill my God-fatherly duties. Are you alright?"

"Whoa, stereo." Simon said.

"I'm... house-sitting." He didn't sound entirely confident in his answer.

"Well I didn't know that. You could've been gone for weeks." Simon said. "I'm just considerate like that."

"Totally. But I can't hog the spotlight, today is about you two. I mean, you guys were out saving the day, right? You must be exhausted. Let me help you with, um, supper?"

Sara blinks, trying to figure out what she obviously missed so she just asks again. "Supper? What? Why are you here, Si?"

"I thought you guys would be tired after saving the headmistress and her lady friend. So I came over to help out. Like a good neighbour.

"And... Chloe and I aren't really talking to each other. And I don't have a room on campus anymore.

"But it was mostly the helping thing."

"I didn't break up with Chloe." Simon said. "Why would you assume I did something?"

"Kind of, I guess. She was crying when I left. Between her and Lucy I just couldn't take it anymore. All that talk about marriage and flying monkey babies was really creeping me out."

"I think, I don't know, they were yelling a lot about how terrible I was because I was living there but didn't want to get married next month."

Simon sighed. "I'm beginning to think I'm dating a crazy person."

"Maybe that'd be good, yeah. I can't talk to her without her getting emotional."

"No, and I know you two are happy and you have a beautiful baby that's not beautiful in the way that my creepy future self thought but you can speak from experience that getting married quickly can lead to complications later."

Lucy was having a bad effect on him.

"Lucy said I was misleading her because I moved in. But that was Chloe's idea, not mine. Does living together mean we gotta get married? Because I didn't marry Willow."

"This is true, I can vouch for that," Will said, in a lame(r than usual) joke.

One shower later in a temporarily Simon-free apartment with a sleeping Robin...

"That... that sure was something..." Sara says, carefully, sitting down next to Will on the couch.
