When Bear arrived, she'd find the door unlocked, and Ryan anxiously pacing the living room. Like, well, he usually did when someone was on a mission that wasn't him.

And so, as was inevitable, Bear pushed open the door, and sluffed into the room, dropping her uniform jacket in a pile on the entryway. she was exhausted, but still had a smile on her face now that she was home.

"OH thank God," Ryan sighed, crossing the room in fast strides, pulling Bear into a hug.

"Whoa, whoa, easy babe," Ryan said, actually picking her up and carrying her over to the couch. "It's all right, you're home now. Just relax and talk to me."

She sniffled, wiping her eyes and smiling in a way that would give Ryan a warm feeling of joy.

"They're happy tears, Ryan." she said, leaning over and kissing him on the cheek. "I'm home. with you and Rachel.".

Ryan sighed, sounding a little relieved. "Here... tell you what. I'll go fill the tub for you, and you can tell us all about it there," he said, smirking a little.

"You're home!" Rachel said as she ran from the front door to Bear, not pausing to shut the door, barely taking the time to drop her satchel "What happened, baby? We were so worried."

"That.. Sounds perfect. and bring the first aid kit.. Need to check on a bandage or two."

Bear tried to make it sound as sexy as she could, giving him a sly smile, but she couldn't pull it off terribly well.

She started peeling off the remainder of her uniform, bruises and cuts still fresh.

"It.. it wasn't a friendly, easy mission.." She said, turning and hugging and kissing Rachel.

Ryan winced and nodded. "All right... I'll go get it started, give me a minute," he said, heading back to the bedroom and the bathroom.

"I guessed." Rachel said "Your new perfume is....unique." she added as she helped Bear out of her uniform, frowning as new cuts and bruises were exposed.

"Reminds me of the farm. only with more toxins and incinerated buildings mixed in. And sewers."

Chuckling lightly, she shuddered, thinking of The Mockery.

"And right now, I want to scrub and scrub until every little bit is off of me."

"What do you think, Ryan?" Rachel said as he walked back into the room "I'll take the top and you'll take the bottom?"

"Why don't you start." Rachel said to Ryan "I'm going to toss out her clothes. Unless you want to burn them."

"Yeah, I can burn them. It'd probably be... more hygenic," Ryan said, walking back out as the tub filled.

bear smiled and sighed, not waiting before testing the water and slipping down into it.. It had been a long time coming.

There was an irritated exclamation from out on the fire escape as Ryan tried to get a stupid lighter to work to burn the likely-flammable-by-itself uniform. It sounded like he'd be out there for a bit.

Bear slipped under the water briefly, soaking her hair and surfacing, looking for the liquid soap and bath poofee.

Rachel dropped the required items into the tub. "How long were you there?" she asked quietly.

Ryan came back in, taking off a shirt that smelled distinctly like lighter fluid now, and washed his hands as he muttered something like 'stupid unstable molecules'. And, seeing that Rachel had the 'take care of Bear thing under wraps, evidently, he tossed his shirt in the hamper and started heading out to make dinner. Or something.

Bear began washing, slowly.

A little disappointed, but not surprised, that he'd been right, Ryan opened the fridge to see what he could make them.

Ryan hesitated in the doorway. I hope you're right. Then, obviously unconcerned about getting his clothes soaked in the process, he walked over and leaned into the tub to hug Bear, bathwater and all.

Ryan squeezed her again, before moving out of the way to let Rachel wash her hair. He started shrugging out of his rather soaked shirt then. "There is one important question," he pointed out. "Why's there only one of us in the tub? I mean, seriously, are we slipping here?"

Ryan smirked as he pushed his pants off. "Scoot up a little, then, you're tiny, you don't need as much room," he teased, moving to slip in behind her.
