Cal had his work spread out, and this time had his robots doing some of the delicate assembling. Every so often, he would reach over and give one a tap to get it back on task.

Salma entered the Common Hall with Cal's magic staff strapped to her back. She spotted him almost at once and headed over to him, smiling. "Hey there, Mr. Hero-Ma...oh, you have little robots?"

The answer Salma got was a garble of the five robots all arguing with each other about who was the best, so Cal brushed them back to the assembling they'd been doing and answered for them. "As far as following explicit instructions, they're about all the same. As far as improvising? There'll be... variations."

"I'm glad you stopped by, though." He picked up a piece that looked like it should fit around the ear and hold a small screen in front of the eye. "Tell me how that works for you."

Salma looked the device over for a second before before finding what had to be the on switch, and placed it over her hear. She pressed the button, letting the screen fold over her left eye and turn on.

"Oh, how cool! It's giving me all of these readings and stuff!"

"And can you see through it, too?" he asked. If she couldn't, it should auto-adjust when she tried to look through it. But then again, everyone's cyber-interface was different.

As the scenario loaded up, Calvin would "see" a private room at a club. The music pounded as a scantily clad Taliyah gyrated to the beat on a table in front of him.

"Good," Cal said, grinning. "And now..." He put a few things together into the handle he'd been assembling, and then looked at the robots. They'd thinned out again, the others getting bored with the near-complete project, and it was just Galatea now. "It ready?" She nodded and hopped excitedly, and he smirked as he picked up the device she'd been working on with her brothers and sister. "See what you can make that do while I finish this up," he told Salma as he started fixing the last piece into his project.

"Ah!" he said, grinning. He finished welding the last part in place and held out the device for Salma. "Here, trade you, give this a try." It looked, for all the world, like a deactivated lightsaber handle, only a bit longer and smoother.
