In the mid-afternoon, Daniel knocked on Altamira's door.

Daniel opened the door, walking in. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" he asked, smiling when he saw her.

"Nothing that can't be delayed."

Daniel smiled a little more. "Well, I wouldn't want to impose. But I thought you might like to go out tonight before we get into another week of classes and 'no time'."

Daniel smiled. "Great. Since I put such a downer on things the other day, I figured we'd try something a little more... cheerful tonight."

Daniel nodded. "Yes. So... I was also thinking, could I possibly take Altamira out tonight, and not 'The Phoenix'?" he asked, nodding politely at her costume. He didn't sound particularly insistent.

"Well, it was brought to my attention that Certain Other People who have your ear think that the only thing I care about with you is the fact that you're the Phoenix. And I'd rather not do anything to reinforce this idea to you."

"And while no, I'm not in the habit of telling a lady how to dress, and I do like the uniform, the fact that you keep wearing it means I have to ask," he said, a little appologetically.

"Well, like I said... I wanted to go for 'more cheerful.' Then I got referred to a good comedy club downtown, so I thought hey, maybe that'd be a good place to start," Daniel said.

The ride over was pleasant, but uneventful. Daniel held the door for her as they got out of the car, then looked at the place they'd arrived at. "Supposedly, it's some of the best dinner entertainment in London," Daniel mused as he held the door for the building open for her.

"Oh, very nice," Daniel agreed. "I'll have to take you back there some day when classes aren't an issue, there are some perpetual pyro-art displays that are just amazing. I mean, yes, I am a little biased, but it's just so much more alive than the cryo-art people try to counter with. Which is still good, I'll admit."
