Issue 1 Downtime

The holding room and interrogation area for the school is called The White Room, as it's an almost featureless white room. The walls are bare, and the only furniture is a stainless steel table bolted to the floor, and two chairs, also bolted down. The table has fastenings for manacles.

Walter Finn is sitting in the chair, his wrists bound to the table.



There is a one-way mirror in this room that allows viewing from an observation room with recording equipment.

Lumis waits for those who will be interrogating Finn to arrive in the observation room, making sure that the recording equipment is set up and running.

Harold comes in wearing a simple black t-shirt and military fatigue pants and jacket. "I'm the first one here?"

Rick showed up next, still wearing his street clothes from before. "Glad to see you here," he said to Harold.

"You too, boss." Harold says with a smirk. "We know if the whole team is showing up?"

"Hopefully so. But I wouldn't blame Merle if he didn't."

"Because he got hurt?"

"Welcome gentlemen. I think Victoria wanted to be part of this, once we have her we're going to go over a few ground rules, and then you're welcome to get started."

"So, I assume mindwipes won't be kosher?" Harold says with a smirk.

"Probably not," he said with a grin.

Lumis smiles. "Right, no destroying his psyche please."

"I won't make the existing damage any worse..." he says in a tone of voice that makes it clear that he's screwing around.

Lumis nods. "There's no need to be gentle with this man. He did his level best to kill you with a fully automatic weapon."

"Oh, I've got no intention of playing good cop. I'm just not going to leave him in a coma."

"He did that, alright." Rick glared at him through the mirror.

"Any ground rules on what we're strictly not allowed to do to him?"

"We don't torture people on University grounds. So you can shake him, yell at him, give him a slap or light hit to shake him up and make the telepath's job easier, but not hard physical blows, no cutting, no physical torture. You won't have enough time to do any serious mental work on him, so we won't go over the rules on that right now."

"Remember, information of any kind is great, but we need to know who and were most of all. Whoever hired him to start this, and where they operate from."

"I can do some interesting things with pain receptors."

"He's probably trained to resist pain if he was an officer in the IRA. If you can just dive in and pull the information out, that'll be faster."

Victoria came walking happily into the room at that point, a whip that would look very familiar to Dom curled at her hip. "I'm sorry I'm late," she said happily. "Did I miss anything important?"

"Sorry Victoria, no whipping today."

Harold just raises an eyebrow at the whip.

Victoria's face fell at that. Then she gave Lumis a little, very practiced, pout. "But I'm good at it. I promise I won't hurt him much."

Lumis has been pouted at before, and as such, he enjoys the artistry of the pout but is not swayed by it. "No torture on University grounds. You can crack the whip in the room if you want to experience a noise that loud in a confined space, but you can't hit him with it."

Victoria looked into the room, then got a wicked grin before turning back to Lumis, her face perfectly composed again. "So I can take it in there, but I can't hit him with it?"

"That is correct."

Victoria grinned, not pressing the issue any further. "All right."

Harold's eyes widen slightly at hearing this conversation.

"Now that Victoria's here, shall we go in, sir?"

"Take it away. Remember, no physical torture. I'll pull you out if it gets too intense in there, and that will damage your position with him."

Fin sits sullenly at the table, hunched over. He doesn't look particularly scared, it's not the first time this man has been in an interrogation chamber.

He nodded at Dom and stepped into the white room.

"Hello, Mr. Finn."

Finn looks Rick up and down, and then shakes his head and chuckles.

"Enoying your stay?" He approached the table. "I'm the one you tried to turn to Swiss cheese. Remember?"

Finn - "Ya offrin' ta give meeh anoother shot at it?"

Rick smirked. "You still wouldn't land a shot. I'm here to ask you, among other things....what inspired you to organize all of this?"

Finn chuckles. "Seemed loike a laugh."

"A laugh? Armed men and a bomb, hm? Very fun." Rather than a smile, his mouth was a long, thin line. "Who made you do this? Was it really your idea, or is there someone else over you?"

"Anythin' ta spoke the English wheel, boyo. I'm yer man."

Lumis watches impassively from the observation room.
