May 10th: Dead and Red

"I would love to be helping you with your art," Lana says with a bright smile.

Lucy clapped and grinned. "Oh good! It can be whenever you want, too, just let me know! I can always do other things until whenever you want to do it, so no rush, and we can do it wherever you want! Well, except in public, of course," she said, this last part delivered like 'well, obviously.'

"Whenever you are free," Lana says, "Where would you care to do it? I am good anywhere."

[Lucy Grant]

Lucy thought about it. "I'll see if I can find a good place for it," she said finally. "I'll look for someplace good! Then I'll be ready!" She was beaming. "This is a nice change, most people won't let me paint them outside of their room. Well, or my room, I guess."

"How boring," Lana says.

[Lucy Grant]

"Yeah, I know, I used to say that too, but they'd be all 'I'm not taking my clothes off in the rose garden, are you crazy?' And I'd say something like, no it's just that the roses are pink and they'd set off your skin really well and they'd be all 'oh my god, you're a pervert' which just doesn't make sense, so I just stopped trying after a while."

"It is sounding like you are working with terrible models."

[Isabel Galen]

Isabel sat quietly, hoping to God that Lucy didn't ask her to pose.

"I don't get what the big deal is, really. But maybe it's just me because a lot of people say it, so I don't know. But I usually don't ask people when I just meet them, so I'm sorry, I didn't want to be rude or weird or anything like that, I just get really excited sometimes and it just comes out like that."
