"No, please don't g-" the man started in, not expecting her to just disregard her own safety. Someone else stood on the other side of the door in a similar uniform, but once she walked through the threshold, the man outside slammed the door behind her.

"We're trying to keep something, you know, contained?" said the guy on the inside, sounding rather annoyed.

"Do NOT talk to my sister like that, jerk-off," Ethan snapped at him. He was standing close to the door already, looking cross. One other person in a hazmat suit, who seemed to be some kind of lab technician, was digitally sending off samples, most likely back to the university.

Averi just ignored the people that didn't matter and walked over to Ethan. She looked at him suspiciously. "So whats' the deal? They think you're carrying around something that's going to infect us all?"

"No! I was just, like a few meters from some zombies. They never got within biting distance. Or clawing distance. Anything like that." He looked behind Averi to the guard, saying to both "Which is why this is a waste of time!"

"The other students who were near the zombies are in confinement at the university. It shouldn't take them long to analyse them and make sure about whether or not there's a threat, but in the meantime, I have sent samples back to Xavier's. Once you're good to go, if you're good to go, you'll know as soon as they do. Honestly, it shouldn't be too much longer," replied the technician, a woman with vaguely feral features and small horns tucked away within her headgear.

She rolled her eyes. The whole thing sounded silly but better safe than sorry, right? "We'll just have to deal with it Ethan. Soon enough they'll know you're fine."

Ethan was sitting in the den, seemingly watcing TV. From outside of the room, that's probably what the voices muffled by a door would sound like.

Averi stepped into their apartment, a little glad to whole fisaco with the zombie stuff was over. "I'm so glad there's no longer suited men being annoying prowling around our home."

She said with a huff as she moved into the kitchen. "How was your day Ethan?"

"Averi! It is good to see you as well." The voice came from the direction of the TV. On the screen was Mr. Cheng, having a videophone conversation with his son.

"How has London been treating you, dear?"

"Father! It's wonderful to hear from you!" She said, rushing over towards the TV and kneeling down in front of it. "How have you been? And mother?"

"I have been fine. Your mother..." He shook his head. "Still no different."

"But he's still going to send her here for treatment," Ethan added.

"Yes. And I am working on a plan that could help us determine who did this to her."

"Wonderful. And London has been alright, sorry to miss answering that. I'm just very happy to see you." She smiled. "Yes. That would be good. We talked to Lumis here and he said that they had two very strong telepaths that would be able to help us. A Ms. McManus..and Cassiel I believe. Hopefully, they can get much further than others have."

He nodded. "Excellent. Now if I can just locate a good teleporter, we can put this into motion."

"Still no luck with that?"

"A number of mutants here do not wish to help me. They are too afraid that the Black Cannon is the one behind this, and they fear his retribution against them if they were to become involved."

"Black Cannon. More like the Loose Cannon if you ask me," Ethan muttered.

"True..everything about that man is just..abrasive." She shook her head. "Maybe we should see if there's a teleporter here that can help us? We haven't looked into that." She said though looked over at Ethan, wondering if he at all.

"You know, father, when you bring mother here...maybe you should come along too. Being there alone in China, it cannot be good."

Mr. Cheng smirked at Ethan. "You are not the first to give Mr. Yau that epithet. If the two of you could find someone willing to help us, that would make this happen that much sooner."

He turned to look at Averi. "I would, and I wish I could, but a member of the Inner Circle hiding from his enemies...no, that would just seem weak."

"And the Black General doesn't give enough of a shit about what's going on to take any action, no doubt."

"A crude way a putting it, but that is the truth."

"I am sorry, Father."

Averi sighed. "I don't understand why any of this is even going on. Surely, it's a crime of some sort to be attacking other member in the manner as which he's been doing. The hammer should of came down on him hard shortly after Mom fell into a coma."

She nodded. "You may be at ease Father. I'll do my best..to find someone who can help."

Averi bowed as well and stayed somewhat motionless after the connection ended. She glanced over at Ethan before standing up, straightening out her dress. "So, we need a teleporter. I heard there was a very popular one here a few times. Nightcrawler...was it? Maybe he could help."

Averi placed a hand over her face, for once, looking clearly agitated. Normally, it was only things dealing with their current situation that made Averi really loose her cool.

"I really hate all this help we have to keep getting. Dragging other people into our affairs doesn't sit well with me one bit."

He shook his head. "No. Dad's pretty sure that Mr. Yau is dead serious when it comes...well, whatever his problems are with him. If he lines up a jet, that jet won't ever get off the ground."

She blinked. "Well, clealry, your panties are all in a bunch because you must be a potential father." She quirked a brow at him before leaning back in the chair, getting more comfortable. She crossed her leg over another.

Averi frowned. "I wonder what that's about exactly. I mean..I'm fairly sure you'd make a decent father. What exactly was her issue with it?" Though she had an idea what may of been the case, thinking of her and Victoria's previous discussion about men.
