XUB I8, Sat. 18: Drowning the Shame

Trev had had an interesting week to say the least. Now, really, he wanted to drink the entire week away, and see if he couldn't start fresh for the next one. Some might argue that going out and clouding one's judgement with drink might not be the best answer to the problem of a bad week, particularly with regards to decision-making, but you know what, those people can go jump in a lake.

It was relatively early in the evening, and summer term, so the crowd was pretty light as Trev sat in a corner booth and drank alone, occasionally putzing around with his phone.

"H-hey," Trev said, somewhat caught off guard, and jumping ever so slightly. He set his phone down on the table and smiled nervously as he turned to talk to them.

Why are there hot girls....hot twins...approaching me. Oh god.

"Not at all. Have a seat," he said gesturing to the other side of the booth. "I'm Trev," he said extending his hand.

Oh, you know, met a naked Atlantean in a pool, fucked a stripper who was shapeshifted into the form of a teacher I had the hots for, dealt with jet lag. Usual stuff.

Trev took a long drink of his beer. "Ah fuck that. I came out to forget about it, not re-live it," he chuckled nervously. "What brings you ladies out? You new to campus too? And let me guess--you're sisters, right?" he joked.

Trev chuckled somewhat nervously, a bashful smile on his face. "I'll see what I can get the bartender to whip up. If you'll excuse me, Marie," he said to the wrong sister as he started to scoot out of the booth.

Trev, up at the bar by himself, immediately ordered a shot to kill his nervousness and shut up his inner monologue while he waited for the rest of the drinks to be made. He tipped the bartender excessively and returned to the table with three very strong rum and Cokes, setting them down in the middle of the table before sitting down next to Anna.

He pushed a drink to either sister, and grabbed his own, raising it above the table, "Here's to new friends, and a fun night," he grinned.

And to poor decisions! Don't forget those!
