I10DT: Setting up

[Quentin Watson]

Chomping on his cigarette, Dr. Watson was ordering people carrying in equipment around.

"There's no way that outlet can take that much juice, get that OUT of here."

[Sara Stanton]

Sara walked into the lab after curiously following the people bringing stuff inside and just kind of blinks at what's going on for a moment. She did not expect things to move quite this fast.

"Wow... You waste no time, do you?" she asks Dr Watson after walking over to him.

[Quentin Watson]

"Of course not."

[Sara Stanton]

"I haven't even finalized what I need yet." she says to avoid having to say that she's not entirely sure what she needs.

[Quentin Watson]

"I took the liberty of arranging some things."

[Sara Stanton]

"Is that a... isotope-spectrum analyzer?" she blinks.

[Quentin Watson]

"An older model, yes."

[Sara Stanton]

"You weren't kidding about getting me everything I need..."

[Quentin Watson]

"We think this project is very important, Ms. Stanton."

[Sara Stanton]

"I noticed on my bank account, yes." she jokes, though it's obvious that to her it's really not.

[Quentin Watson]

"We do expect results, though, Ms. Stanton."

[Sara Stanton]

"I know, sir. I'll do the best I can."

[Quentin Watson]

"Hopefully, that will be good enough.

Do you need specific objectives, or do you work best alone?"

[Sara Stanton]

"If you have any priorities I wouldn't object to hearing them?" she suggests.

[Quentin Watson]

"We're looking for extremities. Do they maintain their abilities at high and low temperatures, pressures, stresses.

Any cells we create will not have a consciousness behind them, so we're looking for fine levels of exterior control. Voltages, fine-tuning, the works.

We're also interested in proportional work--does the effects have to be the same throughout the given mass.

Things of that nature."

[Sara Stanton]

She nods. "I'll see what I can do about some of those. Sometimes things present themselves during testing that are hard to pass up."

[Quentin Watson]

"Oh?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Well this whole thing came about as sort of an accident in the first place. It's just that sometimes things like that happen."

[Quentin Watson]

"What sort of accident are we talking about?"

[Sara Stanton]

"A mutant with electrical powers."

[Quentin Watson]

"Ah, yes.

Do you need some...accidental impetus again? We could send out a team."

[Sara Stanton]

"Wait what? No!"

[Quentin Watson]

"Just checking."

[Sara Stanton]

"I'm just saying sometimes you stumble across opportunities that aren't what you were originally looking for."

[Quentin Watson]

"Well, stumble, but make sure you get what we need out of it."

[Sara Stanton]

"Right, of course."

[Quentin Watson]

"Good. We're all counting on you."

[Sara Stanton]

No pressure. she nervously chuckles to herself in her mind.

"Just don't expect any miracles."

[Quentin Watson]

"We expect to get what we pay for."

[Sara Stanton]

"Of course, sir..."

[Quentin Watson]

"Is there anything else you'll need from us right away?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Let me take a look around first? But I think it's more than enough for now."

[Quentin Watson]

"Alright. We'll expect regular updates."

[Sara Stanton]

"Naturally. I will keep you informed."

[Quentin Watson]

"Then I'll leave you too it, if you have no further questions."
