As the Blackbird returned, a maintenance team was on hand, as usual. A bit unusually, though, as soon as the plane came to a halt, they were running out there like mad to get the plane refueled and ready to go again. Apparently, this mess wasn't over yet. A call went out to available off-duty X-Men to report to the hanger for deployment.
Nailah is standing in the hangar (and has been since just before the Blackbird reported in as returning), sword hanging from her hip, patiently waiting for maintenance to get the plane ready again.
"You know," Ms. McManus said from the doorway, "you've gone mad if you think I'm just going to let you bugger off across the ocean to fight that dusty bastard."
"Apocalypse has parked the bloody Sphinx on the lawn in Salem, proclaiming that the brave new world is now. The headmistress has asked that we lend a hand."
After he dropped off Mary, Marcus entered. He caught the end of what Ms. McManus said. "Really..? Why in front of the high school?" He sounded agitated.
Sean sat down against one of the walls while they waited for the maintenance routine on the Blackbird to be finished. He was wearing his own uniform rather than the X-Man one.
Wanda, dressed in her training uniform, tapped Samantha on the shoulder. "Miss McManus, can I come help?" She seemed a little intimidated by the whole situation, odd for someone her size, but determined all the same.
That should be everyone for now, Cassiel's message came to, at the very least, the teacher's minds. "I'll deploy anyone else who becomes available. Right now I've cleared the airspace around the school, you're clear to take off."
((ooc note: Flying across the Atlantic takes time. The reinforcement teams will arrive at XI a decently dramatic time after fighting there actually begins))
