Getting her Bearings

[Atropha]

Not long after arriving Atropha had managed to find her way to the schools campus. Now she seems to be wandering through the Quad. Though really, aside from her somewhyat longer hair she just looks like Professor Weaver. Maybe a bit more dressed up than usual.

[John Hino]

A younger, green and hornless version of Apophis jogged up to her.

"Excuse me Miss Weaver, do you have a minute?"

[Atropha]

Atropha blinks at John's appearence.

"...John, right? John Hino?"

[John Hino]

"Yep! I... umm," he said sheepishly, "Kinda missed class today. My grandparents called and I sort of... lost track of time..."

"Anyway, did I... umm... miss anything important?"

[Atropha]

"What?" she asks, shaking her head slightly.

"Class? I just got here."

[John Hino]

"Earlier today?" he asked, confused.

"Are you alright?"

[Atropha]

"I am now though I don't know why you'd think there would have been class today."

[John Hino]

"Because it's Tuesday?"

"Are you sure you're okay?"

[Atropha]

Now she's frowning. What the hell...

"I'm fine..."

[Samantha McManus]

That was when Ms. McManus walked out onto the quad, chatting cheerfully with a certain someone.

[Atropha]

"I just..." she begins to explain when she suddenly spots Sam approaching from behind John.

"Sam!" Atropha starts until she sees who she is with and her face kind of derails.

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh, well then. There's Mister Hino. Might as well ask h--" Nailah apparently continues her conversation with Sam. at least until she notices who's standing next to John and she stops dead in her track, blinking at what seems to be a carbon-copy of herself.

[Samantha McManus]

Ms. McManus herself rather started at the very familiar voice calling from across the quad. She looked to the source of it, back to Nailah, then back across the quad, blinking.

[Atropha]

The two Sphinxes stared at each other and just as both of them open their mouth to say something they hold their heads, bending over slightly, groaning.

Atropha seems to be the first to recover from who knows what. Precognitive feedback maybe?

"But... that... She shouldn't be here!"

[Samantha McManus]

Ms. McManus certainly wasn't about to try to read the thoughts of either of them, at the speed they were reacting to each other.

"...love, what did you see when Doom was swallowed up?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Not this! At least... I don't think what I saw was someone else..." she adds carefully.

[Atropha]

Meanwhile Atropha was muttering. "This makes no sense..."

[Samantha McManus]

"And the Skrulls aren't this blatant..."

[Atropha]

"Are you sure?" It was Atropha who asked, oddly enough.

[Samantha McManus]

"Am I certain you're not a Skrull? Oh, that would be a new and novel tactic from them. Dadaist infiltration."

[Atropha]

"This is ridiculous. It..." she kind of cut herself off there and just stared blankly into space for a moment.

"No... Oh god damnit!"

[Samantha McManus]

"I don't mean to be rude, but one of you at the least is going to have to help me make sense of this."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Well I don't know what's going on, but I have a bad feeling about this."

[Atropha]

"Oof course you do." Atropha says, almost rolling her eyes.

[Samantha McManus]

"Perhaps it's best we have this discussion in my office."

[Nailah Weaver]

"That's probably a good idea."

[Atropha]

Atropha doesn't seem to have any objections, but she's looking at Nailah with... well it's not quite disgust but it's certainly not too favourable.

[Samantha McManus]

"Ah yes, heaven forbid we all get along for once," she rolls her eyes at the newcomer, and heads for the administration building.

[John Hino]

John simply stood there dumbfounded after they left.

"... wha?"
