Victoria and Bambi (she'd decided to succomb to the inevitable, since that's what people would end up calling it anyway) had made their way to the quad, and were currently relaxing under a tree while Victoria read, the little deer nosing around the plants nearby.

Bear, upon seeing the little fawn, approached Victoria slowly and quietly by instinct.

Victoria looked up and smiled slightly. "She won't run, don't worry. I had to give her a temporary tolerance of people for her own safety."

"Where did she come from?" she asked, curious.

"A forest up north," Victoria said. "And she just appeared in my closet today. The first chance I get, I need to take her home and find out why she ended up in my closet."

"Hmm.. magic closets seem to be spreading.."

Picking out a celery stick she happened to have in her snack bag, she held it out slowly for the deer.

Bear smiled, exchanging the celery for a carrot stick.

"Well, the three of us have a... special feature in our flat. It might be magic."

At this, Victoria seemed interested. "Really?" she mused. Then she thought for a moment. "Would this be the building that caught fire?" she asked pointedly.

Victoria touched it, very gently, to a flower. The flower instantly grew completely rigid. Then, with a flick of her finger, the frozen flower shattered like glass. "Magic... rarely appears dangerous. Well... magic from this world at least. The giant demons and monsters... those are generally brought in from outside."
