Sep 2nd - A Dusty Little Hole In The Wall

The Danger Room had the active session labeled as a "training session", but anyone wandering in wouldn't think that at first glance. Miranda leaned her back against a bar in a cantina, watching the room. The cantina was populated by various aliens native to the Star Wars universe. The room had layered Miranda's training uniform in an outfit more fitting the situation. She was wearing a lightsaber on one hip and a blaster pistol on the other. The monitors indicated the training simulation had started, but there was no obvious action at the moment.

Nash walked in the observation room.

"Miranda, I need to run a few diagnostics while the room is in operation. Do you mind if I do it while you are using it, I can just come back later if not."

"No problem," she said distractedly, as if she was concentrating pretty hard. A man went to stand, his hand going to his hip as he did so. Miranda's blaster was already out and pointing at him though. He raised his hands and sat back down. The simulation recorded a success.

"Even Han won't get to shoot first against you."

He then went to looking though data on the displays.

"Technically he shoots first in my head."

"Greedo shooting first is just in peoples imagination, Han totally shot first."

She fingered her lightsaber, but the training session recorded a success without anything visibly happening. "I didn't mind the 'new' movies. They were the first ones I saw."

"I saw them first on old VHS tapes of my uncle's. He didn't think too much of the changes."

"Change is a thing people dislike. Occasionally even if the change is an improvement." She flipped the lightsaber out, igniting it with the characteristic snap-hiss and cleanly blocking a blaster bolt fired from the doorway. The simulation recorded a success.

"Yeah, that is often true."

Miranda put the lightsaber away and went back to watching the room. She reached for her blaster as an alien across the room pushed off the wall. And that was when the bartender shot her in the back of the head. The simulation recorded a critical failure as Miranda rubbed the back of her head. "Damn it."

Nash looked up from the screens towards the room. "I'm guessing you missed one."

"Thanks. I noticed that," she said a little bitterly. "You try precognitively anticipating people's movements."

"You're the Jedi, I'm just a starship pilot."

"Not Jedi yet, just a Padawan," she said. "Computer, reset simulation." The computer complied and the room went back to its initial configuration.

"That's not right." Nash said softly, seemingly not directed at her.

"Something wrong," Miranda asked, moving to where she could put her back to a wall.

"Its nothing major, but I need to check it out anyway. You can carry on with your training."

"Computer disable emitter L7 and continue program. Code Riley G-X-13-Omega."

There was a barely observable flicker in part of the room, then the computer gave acknowledgment that the emitter was disabled.

"Oh hell," Miranda said as a snap hiss sounded from the direction of the doorway. Another lightsaber wielder stepped out of the doorway, his blade glowing an ugly red color. Miranda grabbed for hers, igniting it as she brought it up. Her own blade glowed a brilliant yellow and she dropped into a ready stance, her face fixed on her opponent.

Nash had just entered the room from the observation deck when he noticed what was going on. He was just wearing his normal maintenance outfit, but that wasn't obviously out of place in the Star Wars universe.

"Umm.." This is her training, I shouldn't interfere right?
