"Hello Nash." Ashlie says without looking up. To be fair though, she's looking at Nash through a nearby terminal, so to her that's not being impolite.

"Hello Ashlie." Nash says as he tries to identify the smell.

It smells like it's some kind of solvent. If he's getting closer he might notice the liquid in the pan she's washing her arm in has a faint purple discoloration.

"You do realize that what ever your using has quite the strong smell, right?"

"I do not. My apologies. Do you need to use the workshop?"

"No, I just came in to pick something up." He says as he heads over to the row of locked storage boxes along the wall. "What exactly got on your arm that you need such strong solvents to get it off?"

"Molecular dye. It can be used to color a wide range of materials. Mister Stark uses it for the red on his suits."

Nash pulls out his keys and opens up a locker, he pulls out a tool box and sets it on a nearby table.

"So, what were you painting?"

There's a noticeable pause that almost never happens when talking to her.

"I was experimenting with a different color scheme."

Nash opens up the tool box and looks through it. "A different color scheme, huh? What color did you try and paint yourself?"

"Purple. I like purple."

Nash closes the tool box then goes over to close the locker. "Decided to stay with white, or are you going to try another color?"

Nash picks up the tool box and heads for the exit. "Any reason you changed your mind about the purple?"

Another pause.

"Aesthetics. Upon further inspection it did not look as good as I initially thought."

"That should help with the smell. See you later." He says as he heads out.

And oddly, the change in the ventilation produced a rattling in the air ducts above her, like something had been dropped into it.

Ashlie looks up to the vent to see if she can make out what caused the noise.

Whatever it was seemed to roll or bounce down the duct until it got caught on one of the vents on the bottom of the duct. Oddly , it seemed to wiggle and try to free itself.

Ashlie stands up and walks over to the vent to take of the grate in front of it.

And trying to roll its way over an obstacle in the duct, Ashlie saw a tiny robot. It gave a little electronic beep of surprise as it studied her with its little glowing blue eye.

"How did you get into the ducts?"

There was a microsecond pause, then a map was broadcast detailing the air duct path's wandering route that eventually led from the main mansion building to where it found itself now. There was a thoughtful pause, and then brief video of a gust of air conditioning blowing it down into the duct it was in now.

"You shouldn't go through the tunnels. If you got stuck down there you might run out of power before someone noticed a distress signal. Did Calvin build you?"
