Issue 1 Downtime

With a burst of flame, Roland appeared outside the lighthouse.

There, he collapsed.

Being a precog occasionally has it's advantages and so Nailah is standing outside the lighthouse waiting for... well, something. She's not entirely sure what. Watching Roland materialize in a burst of flame had not exactly been on the things she had considered though. She runs over to try to catch him as he collapses.

Roland was still quite hot to the touch, though not burning-hot.

"Gon' kill ASHLIE."

"I wasn't aware she had the ability to summon grumpy history professors." she says as she steadies Roland.

"Sent me on a wild goose chase..." he groaned. "Malfunctioning piece of rubbish."

Nailah can't help but smirk faintly at that.

"I'm sure she had her reasons."

"Going to have a word with her cogs and levers. With an axe."

"Please don't break the computer that's holding the barriers between worlds together."

"Worlds' got too many barriers as it is. Send 'em all crashing down. A little chaos never hurt anybody."

"That particular chaos hurt plenty of people, but I'm going to file this under 'You're rather angry right now' then. And surely Ashlie didn't send you here."

"No. No she did not.

I should probably get these wounds looked at."

"I can help you to the med center if your pride allows it."

"My pride allows many things. No end to the things my pride allows."
