Issue 1 Downtime

Onyx stood at the site where the lighthouse used to be. She frowned a little, looking out at the landscape.

Nate was walking back from a Danger Room session. He hadn't bothered to shift back to human form after the session. He stopped when he saw Onyx, walking over to stand next to her. "Is there something wrong, Miss Onyx?"

"I am not sure, sir," Onyx says, "Can you see those?"

Onyx points out towards the ground, there's nothing of particular interest there. Just the ground.

Nate looked where she indicated, tilting his head. "I'm not seeing anything."

"Very strange," Onyx says, "...If you don't mind me asking, do you know what used to be here, sir?"

"The simplest description? A large lighthouse. Excalibur used it as a base for a while."

"Oh," Onyx says, "Well, that makes sense then. Thank you, sir."

Nate raised an eyebrow. "What is it you're seeing?"

"Shadows, sir," Onyx says, "Lighthouse shadows, I am assuming."

Nate looked up, as if to convince himself that there was no lighthouse there. "Strange. There's nothing there to make a shadow." At least nothing should be there, but stranger things have happened.

"Unless the lighthouse is still there," Onyx points out.
