Nina had set up the Danger Room as a shooting range and was currently practicing her shooting. Whatever training they gave her at SHIELD, it seemed to have done the trick. Nina was an impressive shot.

"Show-off," Ryan mused as he walked up to the gun rack. "Computer, lock down the observation booth, scramble the room display for anything less than a level 6 clearance. Authorization Fury-seven-gamma."

"No, showing off is when I do it blindfolded and facing away from the target," Nina says, in her characteristic sing-song voice. She unloads the gun and puts it down as Ryan walks in, "What's up? Did you come to see the Danger Room or me?"

"What, can't I do both?" he asked lightly.

"Well, I suppose if you want me put on the same level of interest as the Danger Room," Nina says, sounding mock hurt, "Me. Your bestest best friend in the whole wide world. No better then an expensive gym."

"Now come on, for all you know, 'both' means that I came to find you for a game of strip-target-practice, which we can't do outside the Danger Room. See? I even locked it down!" he teased.

"Well, we could, but I imagine there might be some complaints," Nina says, smiling.

Ryan gave her an exaggerated once-over. "Mmm, no, can't think of any complaints," he said with a smirk. He checked his gun over, taking up a firing stance next to her.

Nina giggled, loading her gun and resetting the targets.

Ryan emptied his gun at the target. He had obviously been trained, and was a pretty good shot. Nowhere near how Nina had been trained, though, as was evidenced by his target results and just the general way he handled himself. "So have they made any noise to you about any work for us?"

"Officially? I'm interning for security under Ms. West," Nina says, smiling at her results.

"Well yes, but I'm talking of the classified variety," he said with a grin. "I mean, officially my plate's pretty damn full too."

"Well, that would be classified," Nina says, looking amused, "Wouldn't it?"

"I can't tell if you don't know anything or if you're just trying to get something out of me for it," he said, shooting a smirk at her.

"I can't tell if you're really curious or just trying to distract from the fact that you lost the first round," Nina says. sticking out her tongue at Ryan.

"I know better than to try to do that," Ryan said, rolling his eyes as he reloaded the gun. "Just like you know that I don't even hope to try to win when you're the competition. But if you want to make it a competition, start the moving targets," he added with a grin.

Nina loads her gun and activates the moving targets, shooting hers down quickly and professionally.

Ryan actually seemed better with the moving targets. Still not as good as Nina, naturally, but much better than one would have guessed from his stationary performance.

"Not bad," NIna says, "You would've been cleaning the latrines on the Helicarrier for a week, but still. Not bad."

"And you know damn well that they put firearms as bottom priority on my training," Ryan griped, reloading. "And no, I wouldn't have. Brat."

"Want some advice?" Nina says with a laugh, resetting the target, "You might do better if you look at the targets and not at my tits."

Nina fires six quick shots, hitting a target with every one.

"I only look at your tits when you're firing," Ryan grumbled.

"Huh," Nina says, looking confused, "Then I have no idea why you're doing so badly."

Ryan growled, then set the gun down and reset the targets, using thin blasts from his finger instead of the gun.

This time, his score came out extremely close to Nina's. "There," he said defiantly.

"As I recall, your ass was a very enthusiastic and eager participant in those uses, so no, not even," Ryan said, folding his arms.

"Given that I saved your ass and you said that the night could only be described in astrophysical quantification, I don't see how we're not even, so I can't judge 'fair' here," he said with a smirk.
