Bears and cosmic things

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear threw up her hands in exasperation.

"What if Winn couldn't restore the car? what if she didn't have control yet? what then?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Well...I told her not to it with anything she couldn't replace..." she said, a little less sure of herself.

[Byrna Cooper]

"I thought we were joking earlier, but apparently not. Let me spell it out: she could not replace a car. Cars are expensive, more so then a student on her own could cover."

She gave a stern look, crossing her arms.

"What happens then?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Well..." she said, thinking.

This had apparently not come to her.

"...she said she wasn't going to damage anything she couldn't replace."

[Byrna Cooper]

"You never exaggerated before? or promised something you couldn't deliver on?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Not about anything important." she said, in a way that implied not TO anyone important.

[Byrna Cooper]

"Isn't it possible different people would react differently in that situation? I refuse to believe you don't remember what it was like before you became the Phoenix, Mira!"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I didn't lie back then, either!" she said, to cover herself.

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear took her hand, holding it firmly.

"But were you ever lied to?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yes..."

[Byrna Cooper]

"People can be flawed. They lie sometimes."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Well, they shouldn't."

[Byrna Cooper]

"You are absolutely right, but it happens sometimes."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I'll talk to her. It won't happen again."

[Byrna Cooper]

Bear looked visibly relieved.

"Thank you, Mira. Really."

Bear drew the Phoenix into a hug. She was the Phoenix of hugs, after all.

Mira almost seemed unsure how to react, but returned the hug.
