"I'm sorry. 'Lady of the Hidden Jungle' just sounds like something out of a cheesy fantasy romance novel. And I should know, I've read a few."

[Brigid Plunder]

"My mom used to be known as 'Shanna the She-Devil' by poachers. She fed a guy to a snake once."

"It kind of comes with the territory, you know?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, what else are you going to do with poachers?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well no, this guy wasn't a poacher. He was some kind of crazy cult leader and... I'm not making this better, am I?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"That entirely depends on your definition of 'better'."

[Brigid Plunder]

"We still have the snake. His name's Ananta."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, once you feed them, they're yours as my mom says."

[Brigid Plunder]

"So there you go. Great trial run, huh?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Is it kind of wild? Yes. But you're not the only person here with a wild background of one sort or another."

[Brigid Plunder]

"And you're working on yours, huh?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"I have a wild future. I'll just have to settle for a mundane background."

[Brigid Plunder]

"I can tell people you're from Mars, if you like."

[Theresa McMasters]

"They'll probably think it any ways. Might as well," she said with a chuckle.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well you know, Mars or Valhalla."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Valhalla, Valhalla, the dead guys' bar and grill..." Theresa sang in something that sound like it came from a children's cartoon.

[Brigid Plunder]

"It's real, you know. I mean, I've never seen it, but..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, if Thor's real, then I would presume that some of the other stuff is real."

[Brigid Plunder]

"He's got, like, friends and all. We had a delegation that visited. One of them ate almost all the food we had."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'd like to meet him some day."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Maybe there's an industry convention or something," she teased.

A pleasant tone sounded, and Brigid finally set down the four items.

"Freaking finally."

[Theresa McMasters]

"All done?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"For today, at least. I have to sustain it for a certain time, for a couple weeks."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I should alter the program to include some circus music or something," she said mischevously.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Probably too soon after those circus freaks attacked us," she smirked.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Psh. They were wimps from all accounts. Their bad luck to run into the college students."

[Brigid Plunder]

"And for all you know they're going to take me off juggling soon."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Yes, but you would still understand the joke."
