Sep 6th - To Keep You On My Mind

[Theresa McMasters]

After getting back from her trip to London with ASHLIE, Theresa had gone up to the top of the lighthouse and was ostensibly enjoying the view. She seemed to be paying more attention to something on her phone though.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

Vivienne was seated below the lighthouse and beside Caledfwlch. On her other side sat a stack of borrowed books. The first volume of an encyclopedia set open and on her lap, an open dictionary lay close at hand as well.

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa caught sight of Vivienne and tilted her head, watching for a moment. Then she stood and stepped off the top of the lighthouse with a whispered word. The wind caught her and she descended down to where Vivienne was. "Catching up?"

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I am trying. I did not realize how, off, I am." She looked up at Theresa. "Ah, Theresa. I will return your things soon. I will be visiting the village as soon as I can find a guide."

[Theresa McMasters]

"No rush. I'd offer to guide you, but my style probably isn't particularly good for you."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Well, I think I can judge for myself what I like and don't like, I just have no clue where to go to find what I need." She moved and pulled a fashion magazine from the bottom of the stack. "The sheer amount of items offered is...overwhelming and the modern ideas of beauty and modesty are more then a little shocking."

[Theresa McMasters]

"You're not going to get any disagreement from me on the modern ideas thing. The real problem is that while I know the places to get things, the only places I really know well are the places that cater to my particular tastes."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"I see, I appreciate the help you have given me so far." She smiled and closed her books. "If I can not find a guide, I think I can manage without."

[Theresa McMasters]

Theresa sighed, glancing at her phone for a moment, "Sorry. Just... one of those days, you know. I can show you around to some decent stores."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Family?" She asked, not knowing exactly how a cell phone worked, having had only the basics explained to her that it was a device for long distance communication. "If I am disturbing you..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"No, just a summer friend," she said, turning the phone on and showing Vivienne a picture of Theresa with another young woman about Theresa's age.

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Ah... you appear very happy." She offered. "You have no friends here?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"Oh, I have a few here. She was just very understanding and good to talk to when I was on my trip this summer."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"A kindred. Those are rare. You are lucky to have met one."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Yeah. Unfortunately probably never see her again. Tried to talk her into coming to the University, but she was happy in Spain."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"She is gifted like you and the others here?"

[Theresa McMasters]

"She is, but she's pretty good at hiding it."

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"If she is truly kindred then distance and time will not matter. Perhaps she will come here, for education." Vivienne smiled. "It is a school after all."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'll have to see. Not going to hold my breath though. Did you want to go shopping now?"

[Vivienne Chinnoir]

"Yes?" She smiled and suddenly looked shy, but she gathered up her books and stood. "You will need to show me how to use the...card...Professor Weaver gave me and I shall try not to be too much trouble."

"We can definitely handle the card thing."
