Issue 1 Downtime

Shortly after 10pm Sidney is sitting in the common room, waiting for people to show up to be ported to the party in Maldon. She's currently busy rolling a cigarette of some sort.

"I was told this was where the party got started," Theresa said quietly as she approached Sid. She was dressed in jeans and a hoodie and was holding a winter coat in one hand.

"So it is!" she answers quietly, swinging her feet down from the table. "Glad to see you decided to come."

"Figured if I had to leave the room for something other than classes, food, and power practice, this was as good a reason as any."

Sid heard a faint voice in her head ...truce? Heard there was something going on...

Shortly thereafter, a diminutive figure in another hoodie rounded the corner hesitantly.

"Hey Theresa."

Haley looked like she hadn't slept in quite a while.

"'Sup Tiny." Sid says, having no problem being gracious when it's people coming crawling to her instead of the other way around.

"You kinda look like shit." Or maybe not.

"Guess I look like I feel," she said quietly.

You said there's gonna be booze right? I need to...like drink until I don't feel anything anymore.

"Yeah you need some booze alright."

"Hey, Haley," Theresa said, leaning against a wall. "Just take it easy. Get too smashed and suddenly stuff's flying around the room."

"Shit...you heard that too...sorry," she apologized to Theresa.

"No worries," Theresa said, waving it off. "I know how it is for your powers to get away from you."

"I'll try not to smash things if you try not to make it rain inside," she smiled wearily.

"It's a deal."

Steve entered, dressed in his best social finery. Finery in this case meaning a t-shirt and pair of jeans.

"Good. I'm not late."
