"And I would have gotten back to my dorm room just fine." Isabel said rolling her eyes.

[Connor Marshall]

"Yeah, I know," he said. "It was dumb. I know. The last one anyone needs helping them is me."

[Isabel Galen]

"No, it wasn't dumb." Isabel said "What I meant was that if its ok for you to help me, its ok for me to help you."

[Connor Marshall]

"Just forget it," he said. "You don't get it, and you aren't going to."

[Isabel Galen]

"Then tell me how its different." Isabel said "Seriously. How?"

[Connor Marshall]

"Because I don't need it! I don't need someone to give me a quick fix, just like I don't need all those bleedin' hearts throwin' money at me like it means they give a toss, I've been fine takin' care of myself for years, I don't bloody need that!"

[Isabel Galen]

"I'm not going to stop being your friend because I can heal you." Isabel said.

[Connor Marshall]

"And it doesn't make you my bloody friend either!" he shot back, blinking and rubbing his head. Bloody tosser... going to cave his bloody head in if I see him again... "Now just go get your bloody breakfast. You've done your good bloody deed for the day, you can feel all warm and fuzzy about yourself. I need to go sleep this shite off."

[Isabel Galen]

"Ok." Isabel said "I get it. You don't want to be friends. Fine. Enjoy being alone." she shoved the note at him "Keep your damn money, I hope you choke."

[Connor Marshall]

"Have been my whole life, 'm used to it," he grumbled, letting the bill fall. "Don't get too disappointed when I don't."

[Isabel Galen]

"Don't say that to someone who can give you fucking anaphalectic shock, asshole." Isabel spat, then turned around.

[Connor Marshall]

"Oh just do it, then. Fookin' deserve it, right?"

[Isabel Galen]

"No." Isabel said "You aren't worth the effort."

"Welcome to being 'everyone,'" Connor said, giving her a disappointed look before walking away.
