I13: Missing Elements

Though many students might prefer going to London, Maldon provides closer amenities for those without a car or unwilling to pay for a cab. Several pubs are available, though the Rose and Crown is notable for having been where Excalibur spent a good deal of their downtime. Also of note is the Plume Library, home to many rare books.

Steph's nose would also lead her over there---and together, the two would find a well-hidden, concealed trap door, buried in the woodwork, cleverly disguised as a knot in the wooden floor.

Nash uses his powers to find how to open the door and make sure there are no booby traps. You know with the fake club setup, locking people inside, knocking them out with gas, that looks like a possibility.

There did not appear to be any booby traps.

"Could they have gotten in that way, too?" Will mused. "That would explain them not showing up on Ryan's satellite imagery..."

"It is possible, though If they weren't already out before the students came they would have risked someone seeing them coming out of the floor." Nash said as he opened the trap door.

The cellar was an old one--it couldn't exactly have been thrown up overnight or anything.

It was mostly empty, but did lead to what looked like an old, dark, damp passageway, out of which some foul smelling air billowed.

((apologies for the delay; we're moving right along))

The passageway was brick and motor, definitely of an older construction. There was some debris in the tunnel, but it looks like it had been recently cleaned out somewhat.

Somewhere between 50-100 from the construction, so slightly newer than the foundations of the building they left.

They went to a door!

...presumably, Nash went on to OPEN said door, because yeah.

The room on the other side was filled with giant, old-fashioned, '50s computers, all running and whirring, as well as doors which lead deeper into...wherever this was.

It still seemed to be underground.

Oh, there was life. Life and a half.

Opening the door, they were greeted by, what looked for all intents and purposes, a man in a rubber Godzilla suit. He roared--THAT'S what that was--and beat his chest.

Behind him were several other figures, also all apparently wearing rubber suits--I mean, you could practically see the seams.
