Murphy was sprawled across the couch of the common room, flipping through channels quickly. She looks incredibly bored.

"Hey Murph." Jennifer says as she walks into the room.

"Jennnnnnnnn...." Murphy groans, sliding partway off the couch. "I'm borrrrredddd...."
She sounds pathetic.

"You wanna come get murdered by a guy pretending to give away a couch on Craigslist?"

"Yes!" Murphy says, instantly cheering up. "Are you going now?"

"Awesome," Murphy falls off the couch and springs to her feet. "I'm ready. Let's go get murdered!"
Murphy giggles.

"Great. We can probably catch the next bus into town."

"We can take my sister's van," Murphy says. "I have my license and if we want to get the couch, we'll need to be able to move it, right?"

"I'll get the keys!" Murphy says. She runs off, nearly barreling into a wall, before disappearing through a wall.
A few minutes later, she phases in through the ceiling, landing in front of Jennifer.
"Got 'em!"

"Convenient." she says, following Murphy to the van. "Does your sister know you're taking the van?"

"Cool." she says, apparently more curious than worried they might get into trouble.

"We might have to move some stuff out of the back," Murphy says, "Murphy...is kind of a hoarder. A little bit."

"I guess it depends on how much you like to read," Murphy says, as they enter the garage.
The van isn't anything impressive. In fact, it looks a little beat up. And are those bullet holes in the door?
Also, the back is filled with an enormous number of of books.

"Only a lot." she says, actually climbing into the back to look through the books. Either she missed the bullet holes or they don't particularly worry her.

It seems like Murphy will read anything. There are books from every topic and genre, with no real rhyme or reason to which ones she bought. From the looks of things, she would just buy as many random books as she could.
Murphy got in the front seat and adjusted it before buckling in. "Will you be okay back there? I mean, it would be like, really, really, really easy to get crushed or something."

"I'm fine. I'm not gonna die from a book falling on me."

Jennifer pulls out her phone and directs Murphy to an address a little outside of Maldon.
"Besides, getting crushed by a pile of books would be a pretty good way to go, no?"

"I used to share a room with my sister," Murphy says. "I had nightmares that I was crushed by books."

"Right? And it's super weird because, oops," Murphy swerves as a car honks at them, quickly remembering that you have to drive on the other side here. She laughs, "Oh my god, that guy was sooooo mad."
"Anyway. She's like, seven feet tall, and she just curls up in there like a dog. It's ridiculous."

"Whoa..." Jennifer says in a rare sign of agitation, stabilizing a particularly wobbly stack of books as Murphy swerves around on the road.
"That's kind of amazing. Maybe it's better for sleeping. Like a pillow fort."

"Yeah. Or maybe she's just weird," Murphy says. "Do you have any siblings? Like, a brother or sister or something?"

"Nah, I'm an only child. Probably good, cause I think siblings would just annoy me most of the time..."

Murphy giggles, "That's a good poin -- cheese and crackers!"
Murphy hits the brakes quickly to avoid rear-ending a double decker bus.
She is not a great driver.

This time a book does topple from it's perch and hit Jennifer in the head.
"Maybe I should sit in front with you after all." she says, climbing into the front with the offending book in her hand. "I just got Moby Dicked in the head."

Murphy snorts and then bursts out in a fit of laughter, "Sorry, sorry, that's...."
She laughs again.

"Holy shit, I bet few people ever say no to you." she says, giving her another, softer whap on the forehead.
