I11DT - Grabbing A Bite

Michael poked his way through the cafeteria line in a way that only veterans of cafeteria lines were capable of doing. Finally gathering his food, he picked a table and sat down, poking at the food with mild disinterest while watching the rest of the students.

Mercy makes her way through the line a bit more clumsily than Michael, due to both inexperience and her wings. She narrowly manages to keep her wings out of another girl's soup as she gets a small meal of fruit and yogurt. That accomplished, she makes her way toward the tables.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" She says to Michael, approaching his table.

Mercy smiles, and stretches the aforementioned wings before she sits. "Thank you. I'm Mercy, by the way." She cuts up the apple and banana she took with very deliberate motions, a serious look on her young face.

"What about you? I see you're going with the 'enhanced interrogations' method of keeping your food in line."

"Oh this? Well," he lowered his voice, "When you find somethin' you like, can't seem too interested in it, otherwise they might not serve it again."

"Oh I'm sure. My last school, yeah? Cafeteria had this great meatloaf. One day, they served it and I told them how awesome it was. Never served it again." He nodded sagely.

"Wrong. They're popular because they' a bunch of tossers with money and people like tossers with money. So, it makes sense why they're popular, but not in the way you think." He tapped the side of his head and grinned.
