Detention - Totally Not Breakfast Club

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

"Man... this is detention? This is a joke," Steve muttered as he began on his second sheet.

Without even looking up, Cal folded the 'appology' letter, then held it up for Tommy to take, still carefully inserting a wire into a staff component.

Regan tosses a ghost-paper airplane at Tommy's head.

Tommy reached up, and improbably enough, caught the paper airplane in mid-flight. Regan could see an odd double-image for a moment where he stood, a sort of blurring.

Cal just gave Tommy a look, the various sarcastic replies he could give going through his mind. "Obviously."

"Miss Rourke, if I recall correctly, wasting school supplies was rather what landed you here."

"Well then, let's see what we have for Miss Kaltiera, shall we?"

He unfolded what Cal had written.

Cal shrugged. In addition to the previously mentioned start, it went on to very sarcastically liken Steph, and much of the administration to bullies, almost explicitly saying that the apology was forced and insincere, and gave an additional apology for having made her miss her post-class romp with Mr. Gabriel.

Cal, seemingly unconcerned, continued arranging the energy collectors for assembly.

"So what would you suggest?" He said, crossing his arms and quirking a brow.

Regan got the odd blurring again as she looked at Tommy, a different outline of sorts surrounding him, and several presences all around the library, as if she was being watched. This time, Steve and Haley caught a brief flash of this as well.

"Very well."

"And Miss Haddock? As helpful a visual aid as one might have in the form of a Teddy Roosevelt who was enhanced by the Weapon X Program, I do hope your essay itself measures up."

He turned, and made his way out again, shutting the door.

"One problem with that idea, genius," Regan says, demonstrating by tossing pencil's at Steve. The ghost pencils sail right through the boys head harmlessly.

Steve was too creeped out to protest the phantom projectile.

Haley sighed at her boyfriend, but kept her mouth and mind shut for now. There didn't seem to be much convincing him to just play the game and be done with it.

"The fuck is a skrull?" She asked without looking up from her paper.
