Sep 9: Antlers Suck

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

Sep 9: Antlers Suck

Postby Graham Jaeger » Mon Nov 03, 2014 3:33 pm

The Mission: Spend the day in Elk-Satyr form.

*CLONK*

The Sound: Graham banging his antlers against the Common Room doorway.

He grumbled and ducked through the doorway. Being a foot taller with a coat rack growing out of your head sucked.

A LOT.

"Try going through sideways first next time," Haley suggested from behind the elk cheerfully.

He turned around, his cheeks a nice embarrassed red.

"I keep forgetting they're there..."

Zombie Vertie shambled past Graham and Haley and claimed a couch. Apparently, getting in the swing of school was taking her longer then others. She still needed to keep her promise to a certain hedgehog, but they can't tell time so she could take a nap, right. She lay for a moment then sat up quickly, 'Elk...?"

"Not superhuman or anything. I just have more muscle mass. Maaaybe superhuman if I figure out how to fully hybridize. Looking like Mister Tumnus with antlers is as far as I can get."

"Yes Vertie. Elk boy," he smirked, "Not a dream."

She smiled and rubbed her eyes. "Hey, it's a nice look for you. Great rack." She giggled.

"The Wild Hunt." Vertie softly muttered her head resting on the couch as she watched Graham. Her control was wavering, Graham would be getting the "warm fuzzies" again and Haley would be getting a string of girly babble about nice eyes and musings about tails.

"Hmm?" She was smiling as she turned her attention to Haley. "Empath, animals mostly. Am I "touching" you? I'm sorry, are you a shifter too, like Graham? I sometimes get sloppy when I get tired." Vertie sat up straighter in an attempt to wake herself up and focus on her gift so not to bother them with it. Graham would feel "less" but if Haley tried she would still pick up on Vertie's "human" thoughts.

"Nah, that was likely me, Gar calls it the "warm fuzzies", says it's always "on" and I just sort of...glow like a space heater." She shruged. "Sorry, I'll try not to focus it on you, especially now when I'm foggy in the head. This school thing is rough."

"At least there are some decent little forest areas around campus to unwind in when that gets to be too much," Graham said as though it was perfectly normal human behavior.

"I've never run on purpose. It's usually not wise to go running around in the woods when there are feral shifters around. Though Gar did say this place has some really high-end workout tech too. Guess I'll have to try everything until I find my thing."
