"Nah. I just knock 't down with my head each time," he said, staggering as he reached into his pocket and screwed his balance up.

"Whoa there." Isabel said "Are you ok?"

"I'm greeeeaaaat. 'Less you wanna get it," he chuckled, woozily, pulling the key out, handing it to her.

"I think that'd be a good idea." Isabel said, taking the key and opening the door "Lets get you laying down."

[Connor Marshall]

"'ll let you get 'em outta my pocket next time, too," he chuckled, staggering in toward his bedroom. "Bloody painkilers... wheeeeee, I love percocet..."

"If you'll take percoset, why won't you let me heal you?" Isabel asked "its kinda dumb."

[Connor Marshall]

"Oh fer... Do I need ta bloody spell this out for ya?"

"Apparently." Isabel said "So why don't you?"

"No, it's a 'I don't need to be the reason me mates get hammered on by a buncha scared morons who think they're about to get a buncha mutants comin' down on 'em. People see me comin' up all healed up the next day or coming up with forcefields, that's when they start thinkin' they need knives an' shite."

Isabel sighed "Ok, I guess that makes sense. Kinda. Can I at least pull out the shit that doesn't show?"

He sighed. "Bloody 'ell... that part really is just me. Because if I let you then I won't want to make you stop."

Connor sat down on his bed, sighing and rubbing his temples. "All right. Whatever you want, luv," he said, not really having the energy to keep fighting with her.

Isabel put a hand on his head, and pulled out all of the internal injuries "There." she said "That should help you sleep better."

"Bloody hell I didn't even notice that headache until it disappeared... Unnnng... So that's what an angel looks like, now I know..."

"I'm not an angel." Isabel said "Now, you, take off your shoes and get in bed."

"Right, right... bed..." He kicked his shoes off, then winced, swaying on the bed as he stripped out of his shirt. "I... thanks, luv."

"You're welcome." Isabel said "I'll see you tomorrow."
