Cafeteria: A Light Lunch (Open)

Up until recently maintained as a museum, the childhood home of the Braddock family has been pressed into service as additional housing and classroom space for the Institute. Additionally, the increased demands have led to the main ballroom being converted into a cafeteria for both the Institute and those University students on a meal plan. Student reactions have been mixed, and reports of paranormal activity are as of yet unsubstantiated.

"Oh that's okay. I didn't mean to interrupt."

"I'm Ashlie." she adds, sitting down at the table.

"Nah, you're not interrupting anything but me getting all full of myself for being born a fantastic night light."

"It's nice to meet you, miss," Ben says, "My name's Ben."

Cal just smirked, starting to run an active scan on the area.

Ashlie might notice him probing the school's systems, this time actively trying to access the hard-light projectors.

The school systems (or what sits on the surface anyway) is about as secure as you'd suspect a system like that to be. Anything beyond that turns into code fragments and non-sense that doesn't seem to compile into anything that remotely makes sense. The hard-light systems don't even seem to show up anymore.

"That looked very pretty."

Those hard-light projectors I found in the ceilings.  How'd you find the access to them?

Meanwhile in the physical world Ashlie is eating, not showing any sign of the frantic processing happening in her central programming as she tries to figure out how much Cal knows.

Haley lifted his tray mentally, a smirk on her face. "I can do all sorts of things."

"When I can control it? Sure. When I get angry and break my room? Like...literally, the whole room....Not so much." she smirked, setting the tray down gently.
