Hey, I've got a GREAT idea!

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex blinked. "Why are you going to be in trouble?"

[Thomas Bowen]

Tommy blinked back, in disbelief.

"I almost KILLED you!!" he stressfully retorted.

[Alex Carpenter]

"No you didn't," he said, a little surprised. "I just... couldn't move. Well, I couldn't see or hear either, but I wasn't dying or anything..."

[Brigid Plunder]

"You were a frigging statue!"

[Alex Carpenter]

"I'm always a statue!" Alex protested. "I just... couldn't move this time!"

[Thomas Bowen]

"You might have stopped breathing, or your blood would have stopped flowing.. Oh geez, I'm going to permanent detention! With lots of inhibitor collars.."

Tommy took a seat on the ground, rocking back and forth.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Hey, hey, relax, man! Seriously, I don't have blood when I'm like that! Or breathe! It was fine! And... I mean, how can you get in trouble, no one knows it happened!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"And if he couldn't change you back?"

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex thought about that one. "Well, I don't know. I didn't really try to change myself back, I don't know why I wouldn't be able to."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Or I'd have to polish you daily after having a good cry over you," she frowned.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Until I figured out how to work titanium and started moving again," Alex countered.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Yeah, how was that working out for you?"

[Thomas Bowen]

"not really well, from what I could see?" Tommy offered, a little oblivious.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well I don't know, I only had a couple minutes!" Alex shot back. "And the metal kept changing! Hey, maybe if you change me back and leave it alone for a few minutes, it'll work!"

[Brigid Plunder]

Brigid gave Tommy a look she hoped conveyed what she thought of this idea.

Tommy gulped and nodded.

"Yeah, I think I'd better stick to coins and keys. And Un-jail.."

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex made a face, really unable to blame Tommy, but... still. "Damit."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Look, let's just... not freak anyone out more than they already are."

[Thomas Bowen]

Tommy nodded vigorously.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Don't see what there is to freak out about," Alex muttered.

[Brigid Plunder]

"You don't see why I worried when I came in and you weren't moving?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Worried? You hit me! And I'm fine!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"I slugged you in the arm! When you were metal!"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Oh, and you wouldn't have done it if I'd been fleshy?" Alex said dubiously.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Not like I clocked you in the jaw..."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Still didn't seem worried," Alex muttered.
