Theresa found the place in the woods where Murphy had told her to meet that evening. She was dressed in her mission outfit without the cape. She figured better safe than sorry. "Murphy, I'm here," she called softly.

Murphy was sitting in front of a small fire. She was also dressed in her mission outfit, having gotten tired of losing clothing during full moons.

"Hey," Murphy says. She smiles at Theresa.

"Hey," Theresa said, moving to sit across the fire, just for better conversation. "Sorry I'm late. Had some homework that I needed to get ahead on."

"Ready as I'm going to be I guess," she says, smiling at Murphy. "Anything particular I need to be aware of?"

"Fresh out, unfortunately. I guess I'll have to rely on my own powers when things get hairy," she said with a smile.

"Well. Think that might work," Murphy teases.

"Sister is in the woods somewhere," Murphy adds. "Worried about me."

Theresa smirked back, "I'm flattered. So do you just shift on your own or is it a 'forced by the moon' sort of thing?"

"I can't imagine it would be, especially since it's not related to your powers. I'll be here though."

Murphy leans on Theresa a bit, holding on to the girl's hand. Murphy looks a little pale.

"You've seen me work. You know I can handle myself," she said. "Leave the worry to me, just concentrating on handling this." She stroked the taller girl's hair.

"That's all anyone can ask." She continued stroking Murphy's hair, "That steak you polished off the other night was impressive. I had my doubts when you ordered it."

Murphy shakes her head, "No."

"Hungry."

Her eyes are wilder, practically glowing yellow, and she seems to be shining under the light of the moon.

Murphy nods. She curls into a ball and it looks like she's in a great deal of pain. She growls and it comes out as a low bass sound. Like it's coming from something bigger than Murphy.

A soft breeze blows through the little area, stirring up the fire a bit as Theresa moved a little. Hopefully this is normal.

Murphy fell to her hands and knees. Steam was coming off her body. Slowly and painfully she began to shift.

Teeth grow. Fur covers her body. Her ears lengthen. Murphy isn't becoming something between a wolf and a woman. She's becoming a wolf.

She also seems to be gaining an alarming amount of size.

Wonderful idea, Theresa. You've really stepped in it this time.

The breeze picked up, wrapping itself around Theresa. It supported her but not to the point of flight yet.

Murphy tilted back her head and howled.

She was an enormous wolf. The size of a small car.

And she looked hungry.

Theresa's feet lifted off the ground, "Hey there. What you say we go find you some deer?"

Murphy growls a warning. She paces back and forth in front of the fire for a brief moment, before opening her jaws wide. The fire disappears into her hungry mouth, flames crackling between her jaws as she appears to chew the chemical reaction.

She eyes Theresa warily, growling.

"Well, shit." Dark mini-clouds gather around Theresa's forearms and hands as she floats slowly back from Murphy.

Murphy jumps at Theresa, trying to tackle the girl.

Theresa's arms came up as if to ward off the tackle, but instead the clouds discharged with a blinding twin flash of lightning and the boom of the subsequent thunder. "Storm makes this look so damn easy," Theresa cursed as she tried to back away.

The light and thunder disoriented Murphy. She yipped rather pathetically and completely missed Theresa, hitting the ground roughly.
