It Seems To Be a Car

[Narrator]

Late one afternoon a tow truck pulled up to the gate. The passenger got out and pushed the buzzer to be let in.

((open))

[ASHLIE]

"Yes?" Ashlie's voice chimes from the intercom.

[Narrator]

"I have a delivery for a Mr. Riley."

[ASHLIE]

"Do I need to call him or can I sign for it?"

[Narrator]

The man flips through the papers attached to the clip board he is holding. "Yes, you'll need to call him. I have nothing here saying who else can sign for it. Though I don't know who else would want it." The man laughed.

[ASHLIE]

"What is it?" she asks as she opens the gate and sends a message to Nash.

[Narrator]

"An old Subaru. I hope doesn't mind doing a lot of work, because its sure looks like it needs it." The man said before getting back in the truck.

[ASHLIE]

"If you could unload it in front of the garage, please. Hopefully he will be here soon to receive it."

[Narrator]

"Okay." The man replied as the truck pulled in and headed towards the garage.

[Nash Riley]

Ashlie would receive a message from Nash

Its here? I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow

[ASHLIE]

>> "It is and he requires your signature."

[Nash Riley]

Where is it at, the garage?

[ASHLIE]

>> "Correct."

[Nash Riley]

On my way

[ASHLIE]

>> "Great."

[Narrator]

By the time Nash had gotten there the car had already been unloaded. It was an early 90's station wagon that looked as if it had seen better days.*

[ASHLIE]

Ashlie walks out of the mansion and towards the car being unloaded, keeping an eye on things while she waits for Nash.

[Nash Riley]

Nash walked up to the tow truck and, after a short conversation, he signed the papers and the tow truck pulled off.

Nash then returned to look at the car.

[ASHLIE]

"You bought a car?" she asks, walking up.

[Nash Riley]

"Yes, I thought I needed one."

[ASHLIE]

"Why?"

[Nash Riley]

"To transport things I couldn't otherwise. It might be the weight, size, or just how many things I need to get someplace else."

[ASHLIE]

"Where would you have to transport things to?"

[Nash Riley]

"Lots of different places, and sometimes it is getting stuff back here too."

[ASHLIE]

"Are you starting a delivery business?"

[Nash Riley]

"No, but I was thinking buying things in need of a little work, fix them up, then try to resell them."

[ASHLIE]

"A repair business! That is not a bad idea."

[Nash Riley]

"Yeah, I've actually been doing it awhile but just a few mostly smaller things ever so often."

[ASHLIE]

"That's good business acumen." she nods.

[Nash Riley]

"I've never really made much money at it so far, what little I've made mostly just helps feed my other projects."

[ASHLIE]

"Do you enjoy doing it?"

[Nash Riley]

"Well, I don't dislike it. I like it better if what I'm working on has something different about it, or if I'm making some modifications to it."

[ASHLIE]

"That makes sense."
