Allison was in the small service area of the garage with her bike, pulling some panels off and inspecting the internal workings again. "If I have to pull the engine," she muttered to herself, pulling a tool out of her own personal toolbox and taking the air intake off. Her mood was somewhat dark and she had an iPad with speakers set up nearby blasting some Guns N' Roses.

Nick was parking his own bike when he heard the music from the service area and went to see who was in there. He peeked in and whistled his appreciation... of the bike. Of course, the woman was nothing to sneeze at either.
"Nice ride."

"Thanks," she said, looking up. "Right now it's just a pain in my ass though. Something didn't make the trip properly."

"I know how that is from bringing mine over, but then mine's not nearly as pricey looking."

"It's not like I can take this to the dealership either, since I've put some custom work into it."

"Mind if I take a look? I'm a pretty good at the mechanic thing. Also, telekinesis is damned handy in repair work."

"Be my guest," she said, moving aside. "I think I may have to take the engine out and check all the parts again."

He knelt down to inspect the motorcycle visually while gently "feeling" around inside the it's guts with telekinesis for any obvious problems.

There were a few things that had gotten jarred loose and could just be put back into place, but something inside the engine had broken loose and would have to be replaced.

He closed his eyes for a moment. "Something's definitely broken in the engine... part of the camshaft I think, but I can't be sure until seeing it visually."

She sighs, "Just my luck then, I guess. Want to help me pull the engine out to get a better look?"

"Sure. I've got nowhere to be for awhile," he said as he stood, before extending a hand, "Name's Nick."

"Allison," she said, shaking the offered hand before sorting through the tools they'd need to pull the motor.

Nick used his powers to start the process while she looked, but even he needed some tools.
"Don't worry about any of the basic tools. My powers can do the simple things."

"Where's the fun in that though?" Still, she only pulled out the special stuff. "College student?" She asked as she started working one of the bolts.

"Where else but Xavier's can somebody learn how to literally save the world?"

"Depends on your definition of 'save the world'," she said with a grunt as she pulled off a stubborn part.

"Like stopping a mad scientist from another dimension from ripping reality apart."

"I believe that's in the dictionary under 'saving the world'. Some of us are just less... hero-inclined."

"No, I still think I'd make a lousy crime fighter. Just maybe that there's something wrong with that. I'm sure you'd call it 'old person's regret'."

"Having an immortal history professor is actually pretty cool though. I think the high-schooler I'm power tutoring might even have some kind of crush on him, but he does have that 'looks kinda like David Bowie' thing going for him."

"That would certainly be a plus." The iPad switched over to playing AC/DC's 'Shoot To Thrill'. "So what do you do in your off time besides the superhero gig?"
