Kay is heading down towards the inlet with Dana a bit north of the Point where the coast is a little more shallow.

"Okay maybe not the most white-sand beach..."

"That's good," Dana says, "I don't like sand very much."

"Why? What's wrong with sand?"

"I don't like the texture," Dana says.

"O...kay? Well it's about the water anyway, right?"

"Exactly," Dana says, "Water is fine. I like to sink underwater and pretend I'm floating through space sometimes."

"Yeah, it's kinda like flying!" she grins.

"Exactly," Dana says, taking off her shoes.

"Last one in is a dork!" she laughs and takes off her shirt, having already put on her bathing suit in the dorm.

"I don't think that is the proper way to define a 'dork'."

Dana wades in just wearing her normal clothes. She even keeps her sunglasses on.

"Well no it's just... Are you just gonna go in like that?" she asks, hopping after Dana on one leg while pulling off her pants.

"Yes. I don't have a swimsuit and nudity makes me uncomfortable," Dana says, "It's a bit cold."

"I guess that makes sense." she's forced to admit and runs past Dana into the deeper water, not seeming to care about the cold water.

"It's a little shall--" is as far as she gets before stepping into a fairway and involuntarily disappearing into the water.

Dana moves quickly, getting to where Kay disappeared and diving underwater.

Kay seems to have caught herself after the initial surprise and waves at Dana to show she's okay before whipping herself to the surface again with her legs.

Dana surfaces again, shaking water out of her hair.

"You should be more careful. It could be dangerous here."

"It's water. How dangerous can it be, right? Just didn't expect pitfalls." she chuckles.

"I suppose you're right," Dana says, "I haven't read anything about the waters in the area being particularly dangerous."

"Around the Institute, I think drowning would be the least of our concerns," Dana says, laying on her back so she can float.

Dana closed her eyes and just floated, enjoying the feel of the water and the sun as Kay dived down into the water. It was very relaxing.

After a while Kay comes back, silently gliding through the water. Coming up on Dana she makes a bit more noise on purpose, having learned her lesson in surprising people in the water.

"Man, if you go out a bit there's this whole... forest down there!" she reports excitedly.

"Well like, kelp and stuff but it grows huge and it's like you're flying through a forest."

Dana nods, "Makes sense."

"I don't eat fish. They always look sad."
