I13DT - I yam an Antichristmas

Late in the afternoon, a feminine, helmeted figure pulls into the campus garage on a decidedly unladylike motorcycle. A fairly sizeable bag is lashed to the rack behind her.

[Aria Nyx]

One step through several impossible angles of Escher-like dimensions later Aria and her new jacket emerge from nowhere onto the front steps of the manor, her wings somehow disappearing beneath the otherwise (somewhat) snug coat.

The woman tucks the helmet under her arm, revealing an apparently shaved head. She takes the straps off the bag and hefts it up, stepping out of the garage.

[Aria Nyx]

Aria looks like she's about to bail but seems to change her mind at the last second. "Oh what the hell, I've already cannon-balled into the pool, might as well go for broke." she tells herself (and presumably Will) before hopping down the stairs and waving at the woman walking through the driveway.

The woman tilts her head at Aria.

"And here I thought my visit was going to be a surprise."

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh! They don't know you're coming? Just how much do you want to surprise them?" she grins deviously.

[Will Stanton]

"Who is this?" Will whispered back to Aria.

[Kathleen McManus]

"You're her, aren't you? Suppose it'd figure you'd be out to meet me. Your mum can see the future. Well, your other mum."

"God, she told me you'd be big but I wasn't quite expecting."

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh I don't think even Mom knows you're coming, Aunt Kat. She might, it's hard to tell sometimes."

[Kathleen McManus]

"Is this the part where I have to say 'Hello, I'm your Auntie Kat' anyway so you don't get a headache?"

[Aria Nyx]

"Nah, that's fine. I just put two and two together."

[Kathleen McManus]

"Well then, pleased to meet you Miranda."

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh, no no, I'm Aria." she says, apparently extremely amused by the situation. "And I've met you before. Though obviously you haven't met me yet. I'm from the future!"

[Kathleen McManus]

She frowns.

"Time travel. Why does it always have to be time travel?"

[Aria Nyx]

"Cause it's awesome! Well, except when you get stuck but it's all part of the adventure."

[Kathleen McManus]

"Yes, yes, and sometimes you get kidnapped and given superpowers you didn't ask for to get back at your sister."

[Aria Nyx]

"See you get it. You take the good with the bad."

[Will Stanton]

"Take them both and then you have, the facts of liiiiife..."

[Kathleen McManus]

"Right. So how many nieces is Sam going to spring on me here? I only brought presents for one."

[Aria Nyx]

"Oh it's fine, don't worry about me. But the question is, do you want to get back at them and get the jump on them?"

[Kathleen McManus]

"Your mum is psychic. Your other mum can tell the future. What are you proposing?"

[Aria Nyx]

"Well I know that Mom's not in the apartment right now, so even if she knows she can't spoil it and I can get us right into the psi-shielded apartment." she says and takes a step that takes her up the stairs to the manor in an instant.

[Will Stanton]

"I'm not supposed to be in Prof. McManus' room without her permission!" Will hissed.

[Kathleen McManus]

"Did you... leave an MP3 player on or something?" She quirks a penciled brow.

[Aria Nyx]

"Yeah, lemme just turn that off." she says and slips a hand into her coat pocket to pinch Will.

[Will Stanton]

Aria had, with forethought, put a convenient non-fucntioning zipper inside the coat. Or so WIll had thought--when Aria pinched it shut, Will found himself unable to speak!

[Kathleen McManus]

"Alright then, we're going to play Father Christmas?"

[Aria Nyx]

"Sure thing!"

[Kathleen McManus]

"Lead the way, oh niece that is only marginally stranger than anything else in my life."

[Aria Nyx]

"Alrighty, hold on to your butt!" she says, takes a hold of Kathleen's arm and takes a disorienting step through folded space and right to somewhere else.
